RHEMA ABOUT THE YEAR OF THE
FACE
The Lord told me this year, 2009
was the Year of the Face. I have had several visions,
experiences and Words that have confirmed this unusual
Word.
I had three things quickened to me
about the face and I am sure there are many others.
First was that 2009 would be the year that we would see
the face of what we have been nurturing for a long
time. The full fruit would be revealed. I have seen
this take place with the revealing of the liberals
agendas and what has been incubating for over 30 years,
a step at a time. Keep your eyes open and PRAY and VOTE
righteously. We will be seeing the face of our own
fruit as well, hopefully all good.
Second I had a couple visions and
one experience where there was an in-the-face
confrontational kind of stance, and so there was wisdom
about controversy: In 2009, be a peacemaker but without
compromise.
Third He said it would be the year
our faces would be radiant. The Lord quickened to me
that when we look into His loving face, THAT is the key
to how He transforms us. It is through a reflection of
His love. As we see how much He loves us, we radiate
that love back to Him. What a wonderful revelation.
2 Cor 3:18 NKJV
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror
the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the
same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of
the Lord.

CLASS THOUGHTS ON THE
YEAR OF THE FACE
Face to face - all barriers, veils
and hiding places - bushes and fig leaves (smile) - out
of the way. Intimacy experienced as He likes it to be.
Face to face, breath to breath - as He breathed into
Adam and Adam became a living soul. Not a shell with
human form, but alive with warmth and personality. Able
to carry on intelligent conversation with his Creator.
From the movie 'One Night with the
King' - there was a role called Prince of the Face. He
had direct access to the King. At any time or location,
he could access the King.
The best kind of kiss occurs face
to face, a mutual giving and receiving.
Face to face allows the eyes to be
seen. From the expression of the face, the mood is able
to be gauged. Watching a YouTube video of Susan Boyle
audition on 'Britain's Got Talent' and to see the
expression on the judges' faces when she began to sing
was priceless.
When our children want our
attention, they ask that we look at them - they wait
until we look at them. If we do not look at them
immediately, they get louder and more persistent until
we do.
One of the Hebrew translations of
Exodus 20:3, "You shall have no other gods before Me"
actually means "You shall have no other gods before My
Face." In a relationship of intimacy there is only
face-to-face, and nothing veiled, nothing else blocking
the two people looking at each other with eyes of love.
We are told to "seek His face" (and preferably not just
His hands!) and this implies a call into intimacy. In
Psalm 32:8 it says, "I will instruct you and teach you
in the way you should go; I will guide you with My
eye." I have always interpreted that to mean that if I
am "seeking His face" and "beholding Him" (2 Cor. 3:18)
then I would never miss whatever He is looking at with
His eyes. When He looks at someone or something then if
I am gazing at Him, then I will see and look also at
what and how He sees, and He can then speak to me about
it!
Sounds like the year to give our
utmost attention to His Face, His Heart, His thoughts,
that are all higher than ours, and right now, the events
in the world and our nation scream for our attention and
accompanying fears and depression. Let's look at His
Face and see what and how He sees so we can rightly
discern how to respond to circumstances around us!
NRS Ecclesiastes 8:1
Who is like the wise man? And
who knows the interpretation of a thing? Wisdom makes
one's face shine, and the hardness of one's countenance
is changed.
NRS 2 Corinthians 3:18
And all of us, with unveiled
faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected
in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image
from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from
the Lord, the Spirit.
We must keep seeking His Face.
The Lord spoke to me the end of 08 and told me 09 would
be a year of Being Connected to the Vine ( if I or any
of us wanted to be fruitful...) Now more than ever we
must know them by their fruits and by the Spirit of
God... and we must be about the Father's Business!
When Jesus went to the Cross, it
was a time of tremendous emotional upheaval for his Mom,
His Disciples and even his distant followers. It was
also a time of upheaval for Heaven and Hell and Earth
itself as evidenced by the natural happenings of
eclipse, unusual darkness, earthquake and ripping of the
temple Veil.
Some of you may indeed feel that
you are in a crisis, even as you read this. But the
Lord gave me a Word today that will set you free! Do
not allow your vision to become eclipsed by the things
in your immediate surroundings. Nor fear something that
may loom in the distance. It may seem all dark around
you. But the Light of the Gospel and the Love of God
has been shed abroad into your heart. Walk in the
Light, as He is in the Light, even as He told us I am
the Light of the World. He is lighting and lightening
your way.
What may sound like thunderous
cheers at your struggle by the enemy is really signaling
the beginning of the end of Hell's grsp on your throat.
The enemy has tried to strangle you. He has wanted to
keep you down, keep you quiet, keep you unable to rise
and soar. But What he perceives as your "end" is really
his end!
Even as a caterpillar goes into a
cocoon, and it seems a death is taking place to the
caterpillar, so too it seems you have entered into a
"Valley of death" from which you wonder if you will
escape. But there is a transformation taking place. Do
not let the crisis of the moment and the tyranny of the
things being demanded cause you to look away from the
Face of the One who Loves you and Who gave (yielded)
Himself up [to atone] for Your sins [and to save and
sanctify You], in order to rescue and deliver You from
this present wicked age and world order, in accordance
with the will and purpose and plan of our God and
Father--
Do not doubt, HE WILL bring you
OUT! The Veil that hides Him from your view is being
removed. Your eyes have seen and will yet see again the
Glory of the Lord. But You need to see that it is not
just in HIM, but it is in YOU and has RISEN upon you!
He has taken you into the Holy of Holies with Himself
and ushered you past everything that cries out that you
are not worthy, you are not ready, you can not do this.
He makes you both ready and worthy and He tells you when
to fly and when to stay under His wing. He alone can
make your tired, heavy heart to sing! He alone is your
strength, your reason for being. He alone is Life and
in Him is the Light you need for right now.
You are not in crisis as you
suppose. You are in Chrysalis- and He is transforming
what was, into what He says IS and you shall be- the
gift of Beauty and Grace to this Earth that He has
created you to be. Selah and give thanks!
Strong's numbers; 6440 the face
as used in a great variety of applications, both literal
and figurative Hebrew and Chaldee.
In the Greek it signifies the
anterior part of the human head, stand against....
The year of the face might be a
time of facing up to things, to confront our own
sinfulness and we will become strengthened and
finished. Maybe this will be the year when we will
behold the face of God like Moses did.
Father God, I pray that this year,
the year of the face, will bring us into new
realizations as we face up to our failures and
weaknesses and give them to you because they have all
been paid for. Help us to face the evils of this world
with new confidence, ever knowing that You are in
control of all things, and above all, I pray that we
will come to know you more through our study so that we
will begin to recognize the FACE of God. In Jesus name,

The Hebrew word paniym (H6440)
which is translated “face” also means “presence.” Of
course this is no surprise if we consider that to be
able to see someone's face you need to be in his/her
presence. Here are some quickened scriptures with this
word
NAS Exodus 33:14 And He said,
"My presence (H6440- face) shall go with you, and I will
give you rest."
NAS Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt make
known to me the path of life; In Thy presence (H6440-
face) is fulness of joy; In Thy right hand there are
pleasures forever.
NAS Psalm 17:2 Let my judgment
come forth from Thy presence (H6440- face) ; Let Thine
eyes look with equity.
NAS Isaiah 63:9 In all their
affliction He was afflicted, And the angel of His
presence (H6440-face) saved them; In His love and in His
mercy He redeemed them; And He lifted them and carried
them all the days of old.
It is also interesting what the
root word of paniym is: H6437- pana to turn, to turn
toward, approach, to turn and look, look, look back or
at or after or for, to put out of the way, make clear,
clear away, to make a turn, show signs of turning, turn
back
If we want to see His face we have
to TURN or with an other word ,we have to REPENT.
According to the Word we ARE standing even now face to
face with the Lord
NAS 2 Corinthians 3:18 But we
all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the
glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same
image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the
Spirit.
We are beholding the glory of the
Lord with UNVEILED faces. Where is that glory? In the
FACE of CHRIST!
NAS 2 Corinthians 4:6 For God,
who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the
One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the
knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
I used to misinterpret the words
“as in a mirror.” Kind of like we see dimly, the vision
is not clear. Which has truth to it too, but a good a
mirror reflects everything just as it really is. So as
we behold the glory of God in the face of Jesus we
actually see ourselves as we really are as new creations
in Him. The problem is not with the mirror but with our
eyes! We start out BLIND but as we keep standing in
that glory the Holy Spirit removes the scales, the veils
off our eyes! These are our own sins, false perceptions
who HE is which blind us from seeing Him as He really
is. Each and every sin in us ,I believe, can be traced
back to a stronghold in our way of thinking, to an
ungodly mindset. As we let the Lord renew our minds,
bring down the strongholds, and so set us free from sin
our spiritual sight will radically improve.
NAS Isaiah 59:2 But your
iniquities have made a separation between you and your
God, And your sins have hidden His face from you, so
that He does not hear.
TESTIMONY: THE HEALING OF PHYSICAL
AND SPIRITUAL EYES
In 2002 the Lord had led me onto
an exiting but the same time very hard path. I was born
with very bad physical eyes which were getting worse and
worse with every year. One morning as I prayed and gave
thanks for the healing of my eyes that I knew was mine I
clearly heard the Lord say to me.” If you really believe
that I have healed them why are you still wearing your
glasses?” Then He continued;” If you would take off your
glasses I would open not just your physical but also
your spiritual eyes!”
You see, without my glasses I
could only read things that were one or two inches right
before my face. Behind that a big blur... So no wonder
my first thought was ;” No way! It is impossible for me
to exist without my glasses for even five minutes!” “
And anyway, how much time would that actually take?”
When I looked inside I was full of unbelief. I thought
it would take a LONG time for the Lord to fulfill His
promise. At that time of my life I was totally blind in
the spirit, never had a vision or any experience. So I
just dismissed the whole idea...
Then in August I attended a Benny
Hinn crusade in Washington DC. As I was packing the day
before our trip my then eight years old daughter came to
me and asked a question that just shook me. She said, “
Are you going there Mom to get new eyes from God?” This
was a moment when I knew that GOD was speaking! The
Lord then told me that His “offer” was still available
to me. Soon came the second confirmation. In the
service one of my friends came to me and said that she
really felt the Lord wanted me to take off my glasses.
Now I was really looking forward to my “miracle!”
As I was holding my glasses in my
hands I heard the Lord clearly again: “ I want you to
break them!” It was the hardest ten minutes of my
life... But as soon as I did His glory fell on me and a
clearly saw myself healed. At the end of the service I
had to hold onto my friends to climb down the stairs...
I am literally living in, by,
through His grace every day. Yes, my physical eyes are
gradually improving in spite of the warnings of the
doctors. Now I can read things 8-10 inches before me.
But I am still very nearsighted. Because of this I see,
feel now with my spiritual senses which are becoming
more and more sensitive every day. I would never go
back where I was five years ago...
I am not saying with this that if
anyone wears glasses then he/she has to throw them now
away in order to get his/her physical and spiritual eyes
opened. This is the path the Lord chose for me and we,
each and every one of us, have to follow the Lord, His
individual plan for our own life. We want to see Him
face to face like Moses did! And if Moses could do that
in the time of the Old Covenant how much more available
this is for us now, in the times of the New Covenant!
THE STORY OF A PICTURE
My most memorable experience with
His face is connected to the removal of one of the most
common veils from my eyes. It's called SHAME.
Maybe you have see the painting
called the PRINCE OF PEACE by the young artist Akiane.
Probably because of her own testimony my mind perceived
that painting as the FACE of JESUS. I still remember
when I first tried to look at it. I was trembling in my
whole body because through the power of the Holy Spirit
I perceived as if I was literally standing before Him.
I could NOT look at the picture. If felt fire burning
me and was unable to open my eyes. I wrote this poem at
that time
FACE TO FACE
I'm so close. I feel You right
before me It terrifies my whole being My heart races, my
breath quickens I want to stand and I try to listen.
Will surrendered, mind bowed I
wish I could just rest on the floor, at Your feet .
Such a delight! Kissing the wounds that bled for this
child.
Your arms hold me up with great
strength And I hear Your heart gently whisper and ask.
How I long to obey! To see as I'm seen face to face.
But this soul is still too lean.
Love's power parts the gates with
gentle might I hungrily drink in Your brilliant sight -
for a moment only - then hiding in the darkness of my
helpless blindness I treasure the taste of Your sweet
countenance.
Unexplainable joy gushing forth
fills my soul Now I'm desperate- I need to get more!
Throwing off my coat of fear and shame I loose my life
in Your passionate flame.
Some weeks later the Lord had done
a major deliverance in my soul. He set me free from a
lot of shame. The same night a friend sent a video
about Akiane to me which had the same painting. To my
great joy I could look at His face the first time. I
even discovered that He is SMILING!!!!
As people, who are blind, or
visually very impaired we can receive some wonderful
graces to experience His face if we come humbly like a
little child.

TOUCHING GOD'S FACE
Early in the morning I hear You
calling My heart echoes the same hungry cry I close my
eyes and by faith step through the thin membrane that
separates me from You. You are there with arms
outstretched a big smile on Your face and eyes ablaze
How unsearchable! Loved by God! No more strength
remains. I am at Your feet feeling them with teary
cheeks Then slowly I lay my head on Your knees. Your
hand gently moves, with every stroke releasing a new
mighty wave of peace and grace. With eyes closed I soak
in Your love and wish I had the power to stop time - the
light goes on and I understand there is no clock to fear
in this realm You are mine forever. You reach down and
take my hands
- how tiny they are resting in
Your palm - and hide them with both of Yours. And we
just rest... You are so strong! I am safe, hidden in
Your palms in the secret place. Now You take one little
hand - I sense the wonder on Your face - as God's finger
gently follows each line engraved (It really tickles!)
and I hear Your voice “My little girl, I know you know,
your name is written in My hand but look at yours! In
the perfectness and beauty of each cell and part I left
My name there. We will never part. I AM forever
yours!” So we just rest... Holding hands... Perfect
stillness envelops us... Only my heart beats loudly in
my ears - It's too much love ! Then I hear an other
beat - Two waves of sound slowly morphing into one. My
hand rests on Your chest covered with Yours as You let
me feel the sound of life which pulsates deep within in
every living thing The power of Your might! The power
of Your love! I am lost... And You wouldn't stop Now I
'm fully undone... You gently take my hands and lift
them up Higher and higher until I feel something soft-
In Your infinite love and grace You let me touch Your
face.
I was so excited when I first read
what the next discussion topic was. I have been reading
about "seeking His face" and what that means, as well as
a powerful book about having a face to face encounter
with God. I believe God has been drawing me to a closer
walk with Him and I've talked with others who also feel
the same. I've felt in my spirit that the "veils" that
have prevented me from a more intimate relationship with
Him are about to be removed.
I also saw a bumper sticker that
said "keep the faith" this morning but when I first
glanced at it my mind interpreted it as "keep the face."
I feel like it was just another confirmation to me to
continue to pursue a close encounter, a face to face
encounter with God.
Interestingly feeling that I have
a lack of time has prevented me from doing this as
earnestly as I should. I saw the picture of a face of a
clock in my mind and then an hour glass and then a
digital clock reading 2:22. It was prompted to me to
quit looking at the clock face, but only look to His
face and the sand of time will be increased to me.
And let’s all "face" it- we need a
deeper encounter with God in this time we are living
in! May we seek His face so that the light of His face
shines down on us no matter what we may face!
There is a T.V. program out called
"Lie To Me". It's about a man who observes peoples
facial expressions and body language to discover if
someone is not telling the truth and then to find out
why. It seems to me when something is released in the
spiritual, it manifests in the natural, thus the T.V.
program.
Just today I read Proverbs 16:30,
"He who winks with his eye is plotting perversity; he
who purses his lips is bent on evil." I have noticed
sometimes when people are playing a joke on someone they
will wink at the other people around them to let them
know they are not speaking the truth. I have also
observed peoples lips tightening and pursing when they
are being dogmatic and influenced by a legalistic
spirit.
Isa 50:7
For the Lord Jehovah will help
me; therefore have I not been confounded: therefore have
I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not
be put to shame.
Face the music, set one's face
against, face off, in one's face, in the face of, face
up. These expressions give the impression of having an
attitude to turn toward something and deal with it
rather that run from it. I believe the Lord is giving
us an opportunity to partner with Him, to turn to Him,
to bring to Him our fears and weaknesses for Him to
heal, then to "face", to turn towards and watch how He
comes to our defense and aid.
God will be showing Himself
through people in a mighty way, you will not know who
these people (faces) are but you will see God all over
them, working through them. I am so excited to see what
God has planned and has already started to accomplish in
and through His people.
I understand this to be growing
intimacy. Knowing the Lord in conversations with Him
which are amazingly and quickly confirmed in the Word
with quickened hands.
The other night I was involved
doing something and I sensed an almost silken tug in my
mind to turn to the Lord and seek Him. I must confess I
didn't immediately drop what I was doing but after
perhaps fifteen minutes I did stop and sat down to
listen and wait on Him. In a matter of minutes the
scriptures were leaping out at me. I was delighted and
amazed and I sensed the Lord was delighted for me. He
loved my delight. I felt really comfortable and at ease
with the Holy Spirit.
But... something happened...., I
got up to make some notes.. and as I made them I
continued to speak to the Lord.. then as I was
comfortably chatting to the Lord, I went to the kitchen
and did a few dishes.. Not noticing anything had
changed. I went back to sit down with the Lord again,
not realizing the Holy Spirit had moved on. The
anointing on the Word evaporated like dew in the hot sun
and although I asked forgiveness and received
forgiveness, I was struck how badly I'd treated the Holy
Spirit, my Friend and my Helper. He is the Lord!
Tonight I was thinking, I must not let this happen
again.
With this gift of grace and
intimacy I need to remember who He is. I considered.
If there was a phone call, and someone told me the Mayor
of my city was phoning me I would be quite shocked and
curious. Phoning me ? If the phone rang and I was told
it was the Prime Minister I would think it was a mistake
and shake my head in disbelief.
When the Majesty of Heaven calls
me. The King who loves righteousness and hates
wickedness, wishes to speak to me face to face. The
King greatly desires your beauty for He is your Lord who
you worship.... What is your bearing? I was struck by
the almost absence of Godly fear in the casualness of my
bearing towards Him. How does one put into words or
even frame thoughts to convey the pricelessness, and the
awesomeness of this gift in reverence and Godly fear.
Face to face. With this gift, face to Face, I sense an
awakening coming upon the Bride of the Holy Fear of
God. Perhaps there is parallel in the Song of Songs
when the Shulamite thought she had lost her beloved.

What immediately came to mind as I
read "Year of the Face" is ... /whose face? /And I
heard in my spirit, "Why, the Lord's face, of course."
He wants us to seek His face, not
His hand. It is a call to intimacy -- a very important
call this year. He wants us to spend time with Him, as
much as we possibly can. If you have seen His face
once, you will automatically desire to see it again. It
is so beautiful, and as you see Him looking at you, all
hurts, wounds, painful memories disappear. And if you
have ever touched His face, you will be changed
forever. The image, the memory stays with you.
I pray that all of us will *seek
His face* this year.
What a now message this is for
me. I always ask the Lord with the new Year what are
you saying for 2009 Lord and He spoke : SEEK MY FACE
THIS YEAR NOT MY HANDS and I was excited to see so many
others have received the same revelation.
I have even had many prophetic
encounters in dreams where the Lord comes to me in night
visions like a Prince on a white horse wooing His
beautiful bride (ME) hee hee. It is so thrilling that
the Lord will give us encounters of intimate times with
Him if we truly seek His face and not just his hands to
meet our physical needs.
Our spiritual hunger level is much
more important to Him at this season He is drawing us
into his lovely dwelling places like Psalm 84 so richly
says " How lovely are your dwelling places, O Lord of
hosts! My soul longed and even yearned for the courts
of the Lord: my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the
living God. " How King David must have longed for a
lasting peace. But he had to settle for that little
niche of peace he carved out for himself while pondering
what heaven was like, anticipating the day hed'd dwell
with God.
Seek My face and you shall see
The plan and pirpose I have for

And listen listen to what I say..
There is something more valuable
Than the most precious stone
Jesus Jesus is your way home...
Last year I told the women at a
women's bible study I was attending that I wanted to see
Jesus face to face. They prayed for me to have a
special revelation from God. While driving home that
day I saw the largest cross (made from clouds/air
planes) in the sky that I had ever seen. How awesome of
God.
My dear child, It is so important
to me that you seek me not for what I can give you but
that you desire to spend time with me, I delight in your
sweet smile as you greet me. I love it when you lay your
head on my chest and just trust me with all your cares.
You see your my special bride no one else can take your
place and make me joyful . If you would have been the
only one that was on this earth it would have been my
desire to redeem you through the cross. Dont you know I
love you with and eternal fire that cannot be put out
nothing will ever separate us your mine. Love Jesus

I have a scripture that the Lord
quickened to me towards the beginning of the year and I
have been holding on to it.
It's Isaiah 33:15-17 'He who
walks righteously and speaks with sincerity, he who
rejects unjust gain and shakes his hands so that they
hold no bribe; he who stops his ears from hearing about
bloodshed and shuts his eyes from looking upon evil; he
will dwell on the heights, his refuge will be the
impregnable rock; his bread will be given him, his water
will be sure. Your eyes will see the King in His
beauty; they will behold a far-distant land.' When I
came to the part 'your eyes will see the King in His
beauty' my heart just wept for longing for Him, for that
is what I long for to see Him face to face.
