I would like to share this dream, I dreamed it on the 8th of January, my husband and I were away celebrating our anniversary, the 9th one (we haven't been married too long) any way, we were at this hotel, and it was late night, and I was dreaming, at the time I didn't realize I was dreaming because the dream was so real, I was laying on my back and I happened to notice this spider crawling on my stomach, it was a black spider with long legs and it's back was black and white, like little polka-dots, well it was so real I brush it off of me and it went under the covers, I didn't realize it but I got up cut on the lights and was looking for the spider, I mean literally got out of bed looking for the spider, before I realized it was a dream, with the help of my husband I figured out I was dreaming.
Can anyone help me to understand what this might mean, it really had me up set for a couple of days, and I never asked God what it meant, and he never told me, it just left my memory until now. Normally I do not dream, and most of the time I can't remember them if I do, but this was too real. Oh, I had not been watching TV, which would have left anything on my mind or my subconscious thinking.
I really would appreciate you help.

A Spider represents the occult, witchcraft, new age, confusion or control. (Metaphor ~ Spins a web and you get tangled in it)
The fact that the spider had long legs means whatever it is has grown. Black can mean not yet revealed and the fact that it went under the covers means to me that it wants to stay hidden. The spots mean it is "Spotted" not pure, clean. Pray into this and ask God to reveal more to you.

I don't think is necessarily from the Lord -- I have been bitten by a spider/tarantula in the spirit years ago and it was a demonic attack. I had some very strange illnesses after that until the "spider eggs" were all removed through ministry. Yes ... I am in deliverance.

A spider can mean a fearful situation, as in when you meet up with one in reality. It is a dangerous situation when you have a black widow in your shoe, like I did once. It could symbolize being trapped in a web, or it could mean industriousness, since spiders spin beautiful webs.

Possible interpretation: The number 8 stood out to me, 8th of January, spiders have 8 legs. I also thought of the verse Luke 10:19 about the power to tread on snakes and scorpions (even though spiders aren't mentioned, this verse was "quickened" to me.
I have heard that 8 symbolizes a new beginning. What I believe this might mean are the past "spiders" are gone. (When you awoke you couldn't find it.)
The 9th wedding anniversary was mentioned. 9 represents the Holy Spirit-9 gifts, 9 fruits. You are entering a new walk where you will walk by the Spirit, the old things are gone. (Rev 21:4). It's a new beginning for you.

I know that sometimes the Lord in His big Grace allows a disturbing dream to ask us (warn us?) to pray about an upcoming situation. So please pray, pray, pray.

COMMENTS FROM SANDY I have always heard others say that spiders represent witchcraft, so that is what I adopted in my spiritual language. Witchcraft acted out in the flesh usually means control, intimidation and domination exerted in the personality over another person or circumstance.
Witchcraft can mean literal attacks of such, or perhaps in the blood line.
It was also quickened to me to look up the word bite, since we aren’t normally concerned about spiders unless they are the kind that bite. Here are the scriptures:
Ecclesiastes 10:11 11 A serpent may bite when it is not charmed; The babbler is no different.
Jeremiah 8:17 17 "For behold, I will send serpents among you, Vipers which cannot be charmed, And they shall bite you," says the LORD.
Amos 9:3 3 And though they hide themselves on top of Carmel, From there I will search and take them; Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea, From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them;
Galatians 5:15 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!

A couple of weeks ago I dreamt I was pregnant. My daughter-in-law Jessica came over and gave me a list of clinics were I could go for examination & confirmation. I picked one out, and went there . When I got there, I changed into a blue gown and was waiting to see a doctor, when somebody came and told me I was in the wrong place-the clinic I wanted was across the street. So I set off to cross the street (in my blue gown!) When I walked in to the new place, I looked round, and saw that the decor, and some of the clothes worn by the people working there, were Egyptian in style. I was waiting to see a doctor, when suddenly, I exclaimed out loud, "What am I thinking of, to come here? I can't be pregnant, I'm 65 years old" (That is my actual age) There were some nurses sitting around a table with their backs to me. One of them turned around and I saw that it was Mary Audrey Reycroft, a pastor at Toronto Airport Christian fellowship, who has been a mentor and encourager to me for many years. She was laughing away (but not AT me) Then they called me to see a doctor. I continued to make the same protest, about being too old to be having a baby.
You are about to "give birth" to something new -- a new ministry perhaps -- and it will be easy (no labour pain).

There are many of us "seniors" that have been impregnated with the things of God in our quiet times. Our children/this next generation, will assist us as intercessors for the births that are about to take place. The first clinic you went to, was one in "the Holy Place". You were dressed in revelation/blue. You took that revelation to the second one across the street which was back in the "outer court" (Egypt). There are many "secret intercessors/nurses" (Mary) that have gone back into the "outer court" after being called out many years ago in order to help others. (One came back for me several years ago!) The babies being born in the outer court by the called out ones are, "Davidic Worship", "Hebrew Roots", "The Voice of the Lord", "Wooed", and many others! In the past, there was great pain associated with trying to give birth to these in the "outer court", but this is a different hour! Halleluiah!

So I set off to cross the street (in my blue gown!) A Pastor represents God's messenger...again, you are surrounded by those who are confirming this to you.

This verse keep popping in my mind: Isa 54:2-3 (Enlarge the place of your tent….). I think the Lord wants to expand something in your life (?).
Next thing I remember, I'm in a car with a lady (one of the nurses. but not Mary Audrey) I asked her where we were going, and she said we were on the way to the hospital, because my baby was about to be born. I again repeated the statement to her, that there had to be a big mistake, because I was 65, and couldn't possibly be having a baby. Her response was, "You are having a baby, and we have to get you there real fast because this baby is coming now."
I woke up without actually seeing whether I had the baby or not. Some time after the dream, it came to me, and it seemed to be significant, that although i seemed to be in labor, there was no pain. The funny thing is, that last week I saw mary Audrey Reycroft at TACF. She asked me if I had a good Christmas, so I told her I had been at the hospital in chronic pain with kidney stones and infection. She laughingly teased me, saying, "You'd better watch out, because a woman down east recently went to the hospital after being diagnosed with kidney stones, but it turned out that she was carrying a six pound baby, I shared the dream with her, and we both had a good laugh.

it seemed to be significant, that although i seemed to be in labor, there was no pain. That is because what has been placed inside you is from the Lord and HE will birth this with no pain or effort on your part... AND VERY QUICKLY...a Suddenly! This is a very cool dream!

COMMENTS FROM SANDY This scripture is quickened to me about bearing children, nurses and midwives. I believe they are intercessors who carry the burdens of the Lord and nurture them as precious. They guard and protect.
Num 11:11-17 AMP 11 And Moses said to the Lord, Why have You dealt ill with Your servants? And why have I not found favor in Your sight, that You lay the burden of all this people on me? 12 Have I conceived all this people? Have I brought them forth, that You should say to me, Carry them in your bosom, as a nursing father carries the sucking child, to the land which You swore to their fathers [to give them]? 13 Where should I get meat to give to all these people? For they weep before me and say, Give us meat, that we may eat. 14 I am not able to carry all these people alone, because the burden is too heavy for me. 15 And if this is the way You deal with me, kill me, I pray You, at once, and be granting me a favor and let me not see my wretchedness [in the failure of all my efforts]. 16 And the Lord said to Moses, Gather for Me seventy men of the elders of Israel whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; and bring them to the Tent of Meeting and let them stand there with you. 17 And I will come down and talk with you there; and I will take of the Spirit which is upon you and will put It upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you may not have to bear it yourself alone.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ABOUT CHURCH?
Dream morning of 01-28-09 Was in church service , just visiting. Was my old church but they had some new people , new pastor , new leadership from what I could tell. I was in there and everything was programs and like a circus . My husband was with me at least I think that's who it was. At one point I got so fed up with what they did that in the middle of their program while they was doing something on stage that I started yelling for them to stop, that God is not pleased and grieved with what they was doing and that he wanted holiness and for them to repent . I remember also while I was yelling that I was down on my face ( think I was weeping ) . I think that pretty much ended the service ( in my dream I had some doubt come up at one point if I was really doing the right thing or if I was just trying to bring attention to myself )
The Lord was showing you that He is grieved by the "same old, same old" condition of the church. You were sensing His frustration, and perhaps the dream was meant to lead you to intercession. G

Perhaps there are some unresolved or unfinished issues concerning your former church....it is also possible the Lord is showing you their "spiritual Condition" asking you to come alongside them in prayer until you are released. The circus is performance....you are being shown the holy from the profane and when you speak into this it doesn't make you very popular. The face that you were weeping over their condition and not judging shows how much you are grieved by the situation there. The gentle presence of the Lord (Like the still small voice ) let you know that He was pleased and saw your heart....I think the Gender thing shows the Pastor's condition....He was a man, but looked feminine or helpless, weak....In fact he was to change the situation. Pray INTO this dream and ask God to show you what authority you still have there to speak into these situations/conditions.

The next thing I remember was making my way to the crowd ,my Husband wasn't with me...think he was embarrassed that I did this in the service and walked off by himself , going after the pastor of congregation and stopped him. I remember I first thought he was a woman but then he was dressed like a guy and short hair but he had feminine features at least to me . I stopped him and confronted him about what his church was doing, how it was not holy or how God wasn't pleased and he said he knew, but said something else which I cannot remember totally, maybe along the lines of he didn't know how to change it or something else . I remember he seemed down or something so I did put my hand on his shoulder at one point.
The next thing I remember while I was still standing there is someone told me that some person I knew from before from that church said they would never come around me again ( because of what I did, calling them to repent and spoke up in the service ) . I said that's ok and remember leaning with my hands pushing against the wall and just thinking of people despising me because of that and how this was part of speaking up against things that was not of Him. At that point I felt a very slight touch of HIS presence and remember saying ' thank you Lord " That's all I can remember

The sex of the pastor was not clear to you -- He is trying to please everyone. Man pleaser. He feels powerless to make any changes.
The fact that you were "pushing against the wall" I think is another indication that this is meant as an intercession for you, espcially since you felt a quickening from the Lord. You are more concerned with being a God-pleaser, and this pleases Him. G

In Hebrew, a man represents the spirit & a woman represents the soul/flesh. When it speaks of only the men going up to Jerusalem for the feasts, it means we must go in spirit, not in our own understanding. When it says women should not speak in the temple, it means we should not speak with our own understanding, but by His Spirit! This pastor truly did know the Lord, but was not yet Spirit-led. WHAT DOES KEYS AND A CAR MEAN?
Do open visions without interpretation count under dreams as well? I have one I need confirmation on please.
Suddenly I am standing before the Lord & He is holding out a car key to me. Its a typical car key, silver with the black head. The remainder of the key ring is 3/4 full of keys, gold & silver. Next to us is this beautiful gold car 4-door sedan. The rims are even gold. As Jesus holds the keys out to me, He says, "Here's your car. Go check it out!" With that I take the keys, open the driver side of the car, sit down in the driver's seat leaving the door open. I then place the key in the ignition & turn it over. It runs like a new car. I then turn on the stereo because a good system is important to me to play my prophetic CDs & sing to Him as I drive.
This was the second vision of this car that I had, but this was an open vision & the first was just a vision.
Background: I had been praying & asking the Lord for several things. First, my physical car had died two years ago & I don't even have the funds to purchase a used car. My spiritual family have been diligent at giving me rides to & from church & related activities or I have had to take a cab. A cab can become very expensive quickly on a limited budget.
I had also been praying about where the Lord wanted me to serve in my church. I had tried several things, but none of them had "clicked" with verification from the Holy Spirit. During Thanksgiving, the Lord answered my prayer of "give me more, Lord" & went up another prophetic notch. Its awesome, but it came with either a severe attack or shaking--I'm not sure which it was; I'm still in recovery.
Any insight, interpretation, encouragement, etc., on this would be greatly appreciated!

What came to my mind while reading your dream is that I think the Lord loves you sooooo much. He knows what you are going through and He honors your dependant spirit on Him. As for the car, may the Lord really give you a wonderful new car but apparently a new car in a dream implies a new ministry (Sandy, I don’t know if this is true?).

WHAT IS A CRUCIBLE CHAMBER OF LIGHT?
I had a dream last year that felt positive to me at the time although some aspects of it trouble me like the glory part of it, but when I woke I was amazed by it and I would welcome some interpretation.
I saw people walking up to a sort of receptacle or chamber or perhaps even a crucible ? which was filled with light (and ? heat) They entered the chamber and were transformed into light as if it was transfiguration and glory.... but rather awful... Each person would approach the chamber and there would be this ultimate emotion of awe and glory and fear.... One person cried out with an audible voice Lord help me ! as though it hurt, but that person entered and was transfigured and shone with glory too.
I had the impression that this audible voice was for my benefit and was given to me because of what I’d been praying before I went to bed. I’d been asking the Lord a few questions about barriers to intimacy with Him and I’d asked Him for a language to understand Him.
As I woke from the dream, I understood (more clearly then than now) that this ? experience or process was their glory and it was something to do with their life... and it was a message for me from the Lord.. trying to help me to see and understand... As I write this, there is a fogginess of understanding.. even though I remember the dream... at the time when I woke I had better understanding than I do now.

COMMENT FROM SANDY Our God is a consuming fire. The closer we climb to Him, we are exposed to the burning away of all that offends. In the last days it says that the whole earth will be filled with His Presence, and this is a time where He is also descending to us, which also means closer to His consuming fire. He is merciful and gracious and never leaves us even in the fire.

WHAT DID THIS CHANGE OF APPEARANCE MEAN?
I don't have dream but a very interesting experience that I would like to share.
Last week Tuesday I was driving home at approx. 20h45. In my country we need to be very careful for criminals - especially at night time - so I was driving very slowly to the traffic light in order not to stop too long at the red light. I had to stop for a second or so but in that time I saw a security guard sitting at the opposite light, completely clothed in uniform with a plastic bag next to him - I thought it was his food. I was wondering why a man like that would be at a place like that as security guards usually work that time. I felt sorry for him, wanting to start praying for him but the light turned green and I had to drive off.
BUT TO MY AMAZEMENT, just as I was a meter or so away from him I saw that he looked completely different than what I saw initially. He was clothed in kind of ragged clothes and I realized that there was not food in the plastic bag. There was an evil presence around him too! I wasn't scared at all as I knew the Lord was with me but I couldn't believe how deceiving the initial appearance was!
Maybe some-one has something to share with me regarding this incident?

I am sending two dreams that I had last year. One has caused much fear thinking that God is showing me I will have to have surgery and yet at the same time this may have to do with healing my heart from past abuse and trauma. He has spoken to me through dreams and visions most of my life and I have been asking Him for interpretation for so many of them but this one in particular, about the surgery has been disconcerting to say the least, as I have had several regarding this subject.

Dream 1 This one had to do about a problem I had in my liver, or some organ in my body and it needed to have something taken out of it, like scraped out in an area of that organ. I was in a town that was far away from any city, like a good old country town. They didn’t have the good equipment like a major hospital would have to do this surgery but a surgeon there was willing yet he was not actually going to be doing the surgery rather he was going to instruct me to do it through a live mri showing on a picture screen like a television. He was going to stand on a ladder but was not able to see the organ in my body so looking on the screen he would tell me what to do and how to get all the “stuff” out of this cavitiy in the organ. I felt nervous and didn’t want to do this because I didn’t want to leave any of this “plaque stuff” in the cavity and have to possible have to have the surgery over again at another time.
Before the surgery the surgeon was a preacher and was ending a service. He knew he had to leave right away to go to my surgery. There were quite a few men around him helping him get out of the church service quickly so people wouldn’t bother him.

Well, what is the function of the liver in the body? It is the organ responsible for cleansing the blood. Impurities, toxins are filtered here and removed from the body before they can do harm. That is why you must keep your liver healthy.
The fact that you had to assist in the surgery on your own body I think means that likewise you have to co-operate with the "surgeon" removing the impurities from your soul.
I think the Lord wants to do a cleansing work on you (as He does on all of us) and it requires your willing participation.

I really believe this dream is speaking of cleansing and healing toxic things from your past. Not actual physical surgery. The surgeon is the Lord and He isn't going to DO the surgery, but give you/provide the means of direction and instruction on how to help yourself. (He is high and lifted up ~ ladder) I think being in the country and not the city, shows this will be done in a quiet more private place (WITH) the Lord rather than in a place where everyone will see. (It speaks of intimacy) Don't be afraid

WHAT DOES THE COW MEAN?
At one point in the dream I was seeing a cow, a brown and light brown cow. This was a special cow. It was small in comparison to an adult cow. They told me how sweet this cow was and it was the perfect one for the “transplant” that I was going to receive from this cow. It wanted to go across the dirt road to go see some of the other animals. I remember seeing a tree like something and rabbits, squirrels, something were going up and down it. There was more involving people and a car. When the surgery was going to take place I told them that I wasn’t going to go through with it since they said it was going to be painful and I told them I needed to be in a city where I knew people could come visit me and where they had morphine for the pain since I had already had a problem with pain pills. I didn’t want to suffer out there in the country and be stuck there. I was afraid of having the pain and it not being able to be controlled.

Dream 2 I was in a house in the kitchen and all of a sudden the house started shaking from the ground and at the same time a very fast blowing cool wind came through and the sound of thunder and lightning. The sound was so crisp, clear that it could almost be seen. It was like a storm that had just landed and going through the house. I could hear the lightening. It was so very loud yet not deafening since I could hear each sound of the thunder so clearly. I wasn’t afraid at all rather it was peaceful, I think. What I can remember as I am writing this.
I ran to look outside and I saw a jeep like automobile with no roof, had roll bars and two people sitting in it, it was in the back yard. The back yard had two levels and it was on the lower level. I saw sparks, like sparkler fireworks shooting off the jeep and as if there were wires protruding from the jeep that were sparking. I knew the lightening had struck them. They were not injured.
Then I saw hundreds of jewels that had been dropped from the sky all around the jeep. A foot or two deep of what I would say were jewels. There were two kinds, one was bluish. I went running down the stairs to the lower level of the yard to get some of the jewels and I saw a lot of people leaving the scene running and going up the stairs away from where the storm had hit the jeep. As I was running to see I understood somehow that the light and cloud were going to be moving to the left and that maybe these people were running there so they could be at the next place this was going to happen. All I know is I was going to go down where this had just happened and pick up and feel these jems.
Wow, the thunder and lighteneing sounds were so real, such crackling sounds as I have never heard before in my life. It’s as if the thunder and lightening we see here in the natural is muted in comparison to what I heard in this dream.

(Whenever I hear of jewels, I get excited – maybe because I love it so much……) I was wondering what kind of bluish jewels you saw and whether it could be related to a stone (or color) on Aaron’s breastplate?

COMMENT FROM SANDY The Lord has been raining jewels in some ministries as divine signs. I feel these signs will increase and be sent to individuals too. I believe these jewels are tokens that He is going to save His children and keep them through very difficult times in the earth. And I also believe these jewels will be used as literal provision like cash. The enemy will be planting his counterfeit as he does in all supernatural.

JEWELS JEWELS AND PRECIOUS STONES
Gems held a significant place in the life of the Hebrew people and the surrounding nations. In the ancient world the use of precious stones dates back thousands of years before Christ. Many myths and superstitions about their use existed. Early man attributed magical powers to many gems and even worshiped some of them. This practice, however, is not evident in the Old Testament; the Jewish people valued gems for their beauty, usefulness, and hardness.
No gem deposits existed in the land of Palestine. The Israelites secured their jewels from surrounding nations, which resulted in the art of cutting and engraving gems. Precious stones are mentioned 13 times in the Old Testament, and over 20 specific gems are named in the entire Bible. Since the Hebrews described gems by color or hardness, their precise identification is often difficult.
The majority of gems mentioned in the Old Testament are represented in Aaron's breastplate (Ex 28:17-20; 39:10-13). Nine of them are mentioned in Ezek 28:13, the jacinth, agate, and amethyst being omitted. Jerome ( fifth century A.D.) and others have attempted to establish a relationship between the 12 stones in Aaron's breastplate, the 12 months of the year, and the 12 signs in the zodiac; however, there is no indication of this in Scripture.
The Bible mentions gems used for personal adornment (Ex 11:2; Isa 61:10) and as gifts (1 Kings 10:2; Ezek 16:11,39). David's crown was set with gems (2 Sam 12:30). Precious stones were also used to illustrate spiritual truths (Prov 11:22; 20:15; Matt 13:45-46). Amber, coral, and pearls are not actually gemstones, but were as highly prized among the ancients as precious stones.
The following gems and precious stones are mentioned in the Bible. This list is keyed to the NKJV, but cross references are included from five additional popular versions: KJV, NASB, NEB, NIV, and RSV.
Adamant. A hard stone of superior strength. The exact identity of this substance is unknown; but it is believed to be corundum, the hardest of all minerals next to the diamond. Corundum is not mentioned in the Bible. Pure corundum is colorless; it is the source of such gems as rubies and sapphires.
Because of its hardness, the prophet Ezekiel used adamant as a symbol of the stubborn will of the rebellious Israelites. God strengthened the prophet with a "forehead like adamant stone, harder than flint" to preach to the Israelites (Ezek 3:9; emery, NASB). Other English translations of the Bible render the Hebrew word for adamant as diamond (Jer 17:1, KJV, NASB, RSV) or flint (Jer 17:1, NIV). Also see Diamond.
Agate. One of many fibrous varieties of quartz. Agate is a form of chalcedony with bands or patterns of various colors. The word comes from a Greek term for the river in Sicily where this stone was abundant. It was also found in Egypt, Arabia, and India. The agate was the middle stone in the third row of Aaron's breastplate (Ex 28:19; 39:12). The agate was also useful for ornaments (beads) and was considered by the superstitious to possess magical powers. Also see Chalcedony.
Amber. Fossilized resin formed from the sap of various trees. The ancient Greeks and Romans regarded amber as a gem and used it for beads and other ornaments. Amber is yellowish-orange and can be polished to a high gloss. Apparently abundant in northern Europe, it reached other countries through trade.
The prophet Ezekiel mentioned amber three times. Each time he described it as a brilliant substance (Ezek 1:4,27; 8:2). Other English translations use the words gleaming bronze (RSV), brass (NEB), metal (NASB, NIV) or sapphire (NEB) rather than amber. Whatever the nature of this substance, Ezekiel compared its brilliance to the aweinspiring glory of God.
Amethyst. A variety of the mineral corundum. Its color varied from light to deep violet and was used for jewelry. It was known in Egypt, India and Ceylon. Amethyst was the third stone in the third row of Aaron's breastplate (Ex 28:19; 39:12; jasper, NEB). It was also included in the foundation of the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:20).
Bdellium. A substance found in Havilah in Arabia, a land noted for its precious stones and aromatic gum. With the same color as manna, bdellium was considered to be a gum resin (Num 11:7). In the Numbers passage, the word for bdellium is rendered as gum resin (NEB) and resin (NIV) by some translations. But in Gen 2:12, bdellium was associated with gold and therefore it was considered a precious stone. Some scholars suggest that bdellium jewels were pearls from the Persian Gulf. The exact identification of this substance is not certain.
Beryl. A rare silver-white metal similar to aluminum. Beryl ranged in color from bluish green to yellow, white, pink and deep green. It was the first stone in the fourth row of Aaron's breastplate (Ex 28:20; 39:13). Other English translations render the word for beryl as chrysolite (NIV) and topaz (NEB). The wheels in the prophet Ezekiel's visions were described as resembling beryl (Ezek 1:16; 10:9; Tarshish stone, NASB). The beryl was also the eighth foundation stone in the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:20).
Carbuncle (see Emerald; Turquoise).
Carnelian (see Sardius).
Chalcedony. A translucent variety of quartz occurring in a variety of colors. Chalcedony received its name from Chalcedon, a city in Asia Minor. Agate, bloodstone, carnelian, chrysoprase, flint, jasper, and onyx are all varieties of chalcedony. The chalcedony was the third stone in the foundation of the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:19; agate, RSV). Chrysolite. A yellow stone that could have been the same as topaz or some other yellow gem such as beryl, zircon, or a yellow quartz. Its name comes from a Greek word that means "gold stone." Chrysolite was the seventh stone in the foundation of the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:20). The chrysolite known today is the peridot, an olive green silicate of magnesium and iron. This is not believed to be the same gem as that referred to by the Book of Revelation.
Chrysoprase. A variety of chalcedony. Chrysoprase had a light green color. Jewelry made from this precious stone has been found in ancient Egyptian graves. It was the tenth foundation stone of the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:20; chrysoprasus, KJV). Also see Chalcedony.

Coral. A limestone formation produced by certain kinds of marine life. Coral is not a mineral, but it does contain the mineral calcite because of its long exposure to sea water.
When the term coral was applied to jewelry, it referred to precious coral-a substance with a polished surface highly prized in the ancient world for various kinds of jewelry (Job 28:18; Ezek 27:16). It was believed to possess magical powers.
Precious coral was formed in the shape of branches, or small bushes, and was found in the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. The colors included many shades of red.
Cornelian (see Onyx).
Crystal. A colorless transparent quartz or rock (Job 28:17; Rev 4:6). Crystal was used as jewelry for ornaments. In Roman times it was carved into various household utensils.
There are several different words for crystal in the original languages of the Bible. These words suggest that the pearl and glass (Job 28:17-18, RSV) may have been called crystal, too.
Diamond. Pure crystallized carbon, the diamond is the hardest mineral known. The Hebrew word which is rendered diamond in Ex 28:18; 39:11; and Ezek 28:13 by the KJV and NKJV must have been some other hard stone. The diamond was not identified in the Mediterranean lands until the first century. Other English translations render the word as emerald (NIV), jade (NEB), and jasper (RSV).
Emerald. A deep green variety of beryl. The emerald was found in Egypt, Cyprus, and Ethiopia. It was the third jewel in the first row of Aaron's breastplate (Ex 28:17; 39:10). Emeralds were also an article of trade between Tyre and Syria (Ezek 27:16). The emerald was the fourth foundation stone of the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:19), and was used to describe the rainbow around the throne (Rev 4:3). Various other English translations render the word for emerald as carbuncle (KJV, RSV), beryl (NIV), green felspar (NEB), turquoise (NIV), and purple garnet (NEB).

Gem. Many precious gems were known in Bible times. Special value was attached to each because of its beauty, rarity, and durability. Although the modern method of cutting gems was not known during Bible times, ancient gem-cutters rounded and polished each stone, engraving some for seals or signet rings (1 Kings 21:8; Est 3:10). They were also used for various kinds of jewelry (Ex 11:2) and as gifts (Gen 24:22). Precious stones in general are often referred to as gems in the Bible.

Green Felspar (see Emerald).
Green Jasper (see Jasper).
Gum Resin (see Bdellium).
Jacinth. A yellow-orange variety of the mineral zircon. The jacinth was the first stone in the third row of Aaron's breastplate (Ex 28:19; 39:12; ligure, KJV). In the New Testament the jacinth was the 11 th foundation stone in the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:20; turquoise, NEB).
Jade (see Diamond).
Jasper. An opaque variety of chalcedony, or quartz. Jasper is usually red because of the presence of iron, but it can be brown, yellow, or green. It was the third stone in the fourth row of Aaron's breastplate (Ex 28:20; 39:13; green jasper, NEB). The Book of Revelation describes the one on the throne as "like a jasper" (Rev 4:3). The brilliance of the New Jerusalem was "as a jasper, clear as crystal" (Rev 21:11).
Lapis Lazuli (see Sapphire).
Ligure (see Jacinth).
Onyx. A form of chalcedony with contrasting layers of colors arranged in parallel lines. The colors are usually black and white or brown and white.
The onyx was used for engraving seals and for various ornaments. It was included in the treasures from Havilah, in Arabia (Gen 2:12). The shoulder stones of Aaron's ephod were onyx with the names of six tribes of Israel engraved on each stone (Ex 28:9). It was also the second stone in the fourth row of Aaron's breastplate (Ex 28:20; 39:6). David included the onyx in the material he gathered for the Temple (1 Chron 29:2). Job considered the wisdom from God a greater possession than even the precious onyx (Job 28:16). The NEB renders the word for onyx in all these passages as cornelian.
Pearl. A white translucent jewel created within certain species of mollusks. Although pearls are not minerals, they are composed of mineral substances; and they always have held an important place among the gemstones of the ancient world. Pearls were produced in the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea, and the Indian Ocean.
Pearls were considered valuable jewels and were used for various ornaments. Jesus referred to pearls in a figurative manner to speak of wise thoughts (Matt 7:6; 13:45-46). The apostle Paul admonished women not to adorn themselves with pearls (1 Tim 2:9). In John's vision of the New Jerusalem, "the twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl" (Rev 21:21). Jesus taught that man could possess the world's greatest treasure, the "one pearl of great price" (Matt 13:46) - the spiritual wealth of the kingdom of heaven.
Purple Garnet (see Emerald; Turquoise).
Red Jasper (see Ruby).
Resin (see Bdellium).
Ruby. A variety of corundum, the hardest of all minerals next to the diamond. The ruby has a deep red color because of traces of chromium. Rubies may not have been known in the ancient world until the third century B.C. The Hebrew word translated rubies in the NKJV and KJV was probably pink pearl or red coral (Job 28:18; Prov 3:15; 8:11; 20:15; 31:10; Lam 4:7). Other words for ruby used by other English translations are agate (Isa 54:12, KJV, RSV); red jasper (Isa 54:12, NEB); and coral (Lam 4:7, NASB, NEB, RSV).
Sapphire. The modern sapphire, a blue variety of corundum, was probably not used until the third century B.C. The Hebrew word for sapphire refers to lapis lazuli-a silicate of alumina, calcium, and sodium. It was highly regarded as an ornamental stone (Song 5:14; Lam 4:7; Ezek 28:13). Rich beds of sapphire were found in the mountainous regions of ancient Persia deposited in limestone rock.
Sapphire was the second jewel in the second row of Aaron's breastplate (Ex 28:18; 39:11). It was also the second stone in the foundation of the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:19).
Sardin (see Sardius).
Sardius. A red stone, considered by many to be carnelian, a reddish brown variety of chalcedony. Sardius was used for jewelry and for royal seals. Archaeologists have found many items of jewelry made from sardius in tombs and cities of Egypt and Palestine. It was the first stone in the first row of Aaron's breastplate (Ex 28:17; 39:10) and was included as the covering of the King of Tyre (Ezek 28:12-13). Sardius was also the sixth foundation stone of the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:20).
Other words for sardius used by various English translations of the Bible are ruby, sardin, and carnelian.
Sardonyx. A red and white variety of chalcedony. Sardonyx is mentioned only once in the Bible as the fifth foundation stone of the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:20; onyx, RSV). Sardonyx was obtained in Arabia and India and used by the Romans for cameos and signet rings. Some scholars believe the Hebrew word usually translated as onyx may refer to sardonyx. Also see Onyx.
Tarshish Stone (see Beryl).
Topaz. A yellowish-green form of chrysolite, the topaz was the second gem in the first row of Aaron's breastplate (Ex 28:17; 39:10; chrysolite, NEB). The "topaz of Ethiopia" (Job 28:19) was famous for its quality. The topaz was also the ninth foundation stone of the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:20).
Turquoise. A deep green stone similar to the emerald. The only reference to turquoise in the NKJV occurs in the prophet Ezekiel's description of the covering of the King of Tyre (Ezek 28:13; emerald, KJV; carbuncle, RSV; purple garnet, NEB). Many scholars believe this stone is essentially the same as the emerald. Also see Emerald.

Then to the right at a lower level all of a sudden I was standing at the edge of a hill, like a cliff. There were lots of people there. At the bottom of the edge, cliff was an open field and I was going to go down to the open area, I think people were there too. I knew I would have to jump and fall over the cliff to get down to this lower level but I didn’t care about getting hurt so I decided to jump. A friend said she’d go with me so I grabbed her arm and we started falling down together. I remember thinking this is much steeper than I had thought or that I had remembered as if I had done this before. I didn’t have any fear about falling and it turned out we landed on what was like a hedge of bushes, something that broke our fall and it was a soft landing on our buttocks.

COMMENT FROM SANDY Falling usually means a fall from faith. Jumping down is a choice to trust and have faith. To jump in a fall is most likely a gamble, or testing the Lord to carry you in a decision that can be costly.

I ran over where what looked like colored M&M,s that were strewn all over the ground. I went to pick them up and putting them in my mouth to eat them. As I ate one of them, I think it was blue, maybe green, I remember thinking this doesn’t taste the same as I remembered chocolate M&M's tasting, in fact it tasted kind of bitter in comparing it to chocolate, yet it wasn’t really bitter, more like tasteing like a flower smells. Kind of sweet but a bitter sweet. The taste it reminded me of was a smell of a particular flower. I am writing this third part of this dream on May 25 so the details aren’t quite as detailed as if I would have finished writing the dream when I had actually had it. Oh well!

On Aaron’s breastplate in position 3 (top right) was a carbuncle or emerald (some sources differ, but it was a green stone), the fourth stone was a turquoise or emerald (blue-green color), the fith was a sapphire (which could have been another color than blue) etc.

COMMENT FROM SANDY I have had rhema about giving someone M&Ms. It really was a bitter sweet assignment filled with much grace from the Lord, wonderful intimacy with him, but bitter in how His Words were received. It is true that sometimes when the Lord sends us, His Word tastes SO sweet and precious as we receive it from Him, but in the end it feels like bittersweet.
Rev 10:10-11 10 Then I took the little book out of the angel's hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter . 11 And he said to me, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings." NKJV
I am reminded of when Jesus was on the cross and he was offered vinegar.
VINEGAR VINEGAR A drink made from wine that had been soured or overfermented. In accordance with their vow, the NAZIRITES separated themselves from any product of the grapevine, including vinegar (Num 6:3). The psalmist complained that his enemies had given him gall for food and vinegar to drink (Ps 69:21). Vinegar was used by farm families as a relish in which to dip parched grain (Ruth 2:14; wine vinegar, NIV; sour wine, NEB).
In the New Testament, the word vinegar is used only in reference to Jesus' crucifixion (Matt 27:34,48; Mark 15:36; Luke 23:36; John 19:29-30, KJV; sour wine, NKJV). Before Jesus was nailed to the cross, "they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink" (Matt 27:34). He was offered the same drink again shortly before He died (Luke 23:36). After Jesus had hung on the cross for three hours, and shortly before He yielded up His spirit, He was again offered sour wine, which He received (Matt 27:48; Mark 15:36; Luke 23:36; John 19:29-30).

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ABOUT THE CLOUD OF WITNESSES?
My dream was about my Dad. He has been passed away for almost 11 years. Anyhow in the dream I saw him and he was on a beach in a lawn chair, with a cap on sideways casting out a fishing rod. (In real life he never was to a beach, never fished that I know of). In the dream I am very pleased to see him extremely relaxed and tanned and young and looking so wonderful and fit. The most outstanding part is that he is RELAXED. I am standing behind him and he turns and looks at me like he knows I am there and he says: "You do not have to wait to get to this side to have this".

Both my husband and I have had experiences like this too, i.e. as if our deceased parents would smile at us and/or encourage us. I’m not sure if this is the Holy Spirit showing us our parents where they are in heaven or what. What I do know however is that the Lord uses such dreams or experiences to strengthen and encourage us while we are still here on earth – He gives us the confirmation that our parents in heaven still care about us and loves us very much!

COMMENT FROM SANDY Some believe that dreams and visions about the cloud of witnesses is necromancy. It is true that depending upon the experience, it can be demonic or heavenly. We should always have scriptural backing and alignment with its standard for all our experiences in God and become trained in spiritual discernment.
1. Remember Jesus Himself talked with Moses and Elijah and Peter, James and John witnessed it.

I have had a re-occuring theme that I can't seem to understand completely. I need help with the language God is speaking - that is translation. I am pretty certain He will continue to speak to me using this theme so I really want to understand completey, but I am not sure WHAT EXACTLY basketball and all that comes with basketball represents. I have an idea but I'd like to have some input! It needs fleshing out!
Background information: basketball used to be the most important thing in my life. I had a dream (goal) to play on the Olympic team .Although I never made it that far I did play at the University level and overseas a bit. So before I became a Christian at 19 basektball was my life.
So the dreams have to do with basketball. The following list are all separate dreams (over many many years) that have to do with me and basketball: me coaching, can't find my uniform, having an awesome game, playing but can't make the moves - feeling frustrated, fouling the opponent, practices in the gym working on dribbling with my weak hand, trying on brand new shiny basketball shoes (I have had other dreams without shoes on...? what do shoes represent?), being on the starting line-up, and most recently the ones below:

I kind of have the same experience than you. By the grace of our dear Lord I was a good runner but had to stop due to many reasons, some medical too. It’s now almost 20 years later and a few months ago I realized that I’ve never lost my love for running. I prayed about it and I mean the Lord released me to run again, providing that I will listen to Him (He is the ultimate coach) and to never again use a competitive spirit to help me run. I’ve started running slowly again and are enjoying every minute of it! Maybe the Lord wants you to do basketball again, but on a level that He would approve. (I really believe that the Lord created our bodies for certain sport types too – if that is what He wants us to do). I’m not sure how old you are (I’m a veteran already - but I’ve found ample opportunity in my town to do fun runs etc. on my level.) Maybe you can do the same with basketball where you live.
I have to add though, through the years I’ve found that the Lord uses the discipline and other mental abilities that were developed during my running years to help me run this new Heavenly race with Him. Maybe He wants you to do the same, whether it be working together as a team etc.

COMMENT FROM SANDY I have so many dreams and visions of being in a nightgown that I lost count. Many of them were on top of my bridal gown. The Lord took me through a season where He was constantly emphasizing REST. A servant of the Lord does not strive or sweat. Our final promise is that we will enter into His rest, where we cease from our works and believe His Word. When that day comes, great will be the miracles of God!

WHAT DO BULLDOZERS AND DIRT MEAN?
5/10/08 = I was at the house where I grew up. The back of all the houses on the block had been built against a large dirt hill. Ours was the next to the last house on the block and I could see the bulldozers coming from the other end of the block and removing all the dirt. It opened my view to another street on the other side of the dirt hill; they were lower than our street, which left the back of all the houses on my street vulnerable to the elements. One of the workers said I could get a retaining wall put in to protect the house. I felt in my spirit he could not be trusted and I refused.

I recently heard God’s sovereign plan referred to as a bulldozer! Nothing will stand in His way! I see the dirt hill as generational stuff/mindsets. When God takes us to the next level of glory, after removing old mindsets, we are particularly vulnerable and need to stay on guard. Vulnerable to the elements is vulnerable to God... That’s good. Expanded sight is good as well. Walls are false protection.

1/1/09 – I had a dream that I was on an airplane with my husband and the plane was being hijacked. I called my son and left a message on his phone telling him how much I loved him and was happy that both my husband and I know the Lord – and he should be happy too – because we know where we are headed. When I awoke, I looked at the clock and it was 9:11am.

COMMENT FROM SANDY An airplane can mean one’s faith. A cell phone can mean prayer or hearing and speaking the Word of the Lord. 911 means emergency.
This could be a dream allowed by the Lord to expose the plans of the enemy and a need to pray that your faith is not stolen from you. It can also be a demonically inspired dream to intimidate you and need to be rebuked and renounced in Jesus name. Or it could be literal warning for a literal airplane hijacking.

SANDY COMMENT My house is my spiritual abiding place in the Lord. He has been training me for years in recognizing His Sovereignty in ALL things and this has been a deep sense of peace to me. One of the highest lessons we can learn is that the God of all PEACE shall crush the enemy under our feet. If we dont have peace when faced with demonic things, we are doing a whole lot of sweating bullets which becomes the arm of flesh instead of His Spirit.

WHAT DOES MARRYING THE WRONG MAN MEAN? The next night I dreamt you wrote a book. my mother gave it to me as a gift. It was filled with "prophetic stories" about different people who I thought were fictional. One story was about a woman and in it were detailed events and the gifts she was to use in each event. But, she married a man and it kept her from doing all the things that were written. The next story was about another woman. I knew the details of her story in my dream, but as soon as I awoke, I could not recall them.

But what I do remember is at the end of the story, she had my name. It's a very unusual name so I knew it was the Lord giving me a word through the book you had written. I said to my mother "look, it's my name!" She said, Don't you see what this means?" But I didnt understand. I didn't know what that meant.
In reality I was dating a guy at the time. I also had dreams about him. Every dream I had we were either in an airplane or a car. One time we were in a car but flew it like a plane over a huge waterfall.

I am inside a house, in one of the rooms. It's a new place we have just moved in. Suddenly I realize that everything that is supposed to be horizontal starts moving. A chest of drawers in the hallway slides to the left, out of my sight. It's an earthquake.

I tell my husband to take care of our children then I go outside to catch the cow which starts running off frightened. When I finally catch it and we try to return I realize I don't know the way back. We take one street after another and finally come to a dead end. I see a white fence. I know we have to jump over it and then we could get back home. When we are back again I tie the cow to the tree in front of the house and go in. I ask my husband to go out to the cow and try to calm it down. An upset cow would not give milk and we need milk for the children. I myself start packing backpacks for the kids, getting ready. I know the shakings have just started and more is to come.

WHAT DOES WITHDRAWAL FROM ISLAND MEAN?

I was a staff officer in what seemed to be a large military installation on a large island. We were in the process of an urgent withdrawal from the island due to an imminent attack from the enemy. Pilots were ditching airplanes into the sea to prevent capture, etc.
One of my assignments was to go some distance to another part of the island to retrieve anything from my office area that might be important to prevent from capture. The only thing I retrieved was a sentimental item from my desk. There where emotional good-byes among long-time friends and associates. We all were aware that we were abandoning forever the environment in which we had been living and working. We were all resigned to the fact that this was a Permanent Change of Station [known in military parlace as, "PCS"] and our paths would likely never cross again.

An island represents self, the carnal life, life as we have known it. This island MUST be evacuated, or the enemy will be able to have access to hurt us. There is an urgency as to the timing for us to bring every thought into submission unto Christ. BUT GOD... He is able to will & do His good pleasure in us if we are willing to relinquish command of this island. He is going into our past to heal old wounds. Do not be sad at what you leave behind for I reckon the loses will not compare to the eternal weight of glory to be experienced. COMMENT FROM SANDY The term “No man is an island” is quickened to me. The Lord has been going after the independent ones and calling them out of and away from their isolation. When He calls these independent ones, they are having to give up the fellowship of their comforts in their current position, for they are being MOVED to a new place.
This new place is that He is wanting His people to connect for greater life, greater abundance and greater assurance. Think of one man in a pitch dark room with one flashlight. Now gather 100 men in that room with 100 flashlights. He is gathering.

In the natural 30 minutes is not a very long time to be told you have to gather your things, say goodbye and move. That is the sign of the times we live in today.

I then found myself returning to the departure staging area via an elevated tracked conveyance system reminiscent of a modern theme park ride. I traveled at great speed and rapidly changing elevations, the control of which was totally beyond me, so much so that I marveled that my journey was being totally orchestrated by a supernatural power in which I felt totally confident and comfortable, in fact it was an enjoyable and exciting ride.

WHAT DOES HOUSE EXPLORING MEAN?
I have a recurring dream about houses. We have moved ten times in our marriage, so I've looked through a lot of houses each time we move. In my dreams, I am either looking through a new home, or in my own house. When I'm in my own house, I find all sorts of new rooms that I never knew were there, and they are all filled with treasures and beautiful things. It is a pleasurable dream, and I keep on exploring all of these amazing rooms that I never knew were. When it's a home besides my own in the dream, it is still a beautiful dream that I enjoy so much.
Once I dreamed that we were looking at a new house to move to, and it was a great big, white Southern mansion with doric columns all across the front porch, and it was just next door to my favorite Mexican food restaurant. (I laughed about that because we love Mexican food, so I knew it was the house for us.)
I just think God likes to bless me with house dreams that explore the beauty of homes, after all, He is preparing a place for us that includes mansions!

The fact that you keep discovering new rooms is the Lord telling you that there is so much more He has for you. There are beautiful rooms inside of you as yet undiscovered, and He wants to show them to you.

The other dream, that I have in a recurring way is the school dream. It is frustrating because I'm late for the test, or I haven't studied or been to class, or I can't find the room for the test and all of this means that I won't graduate and I'll bring shame on my family. Of course, I have graduated long ago in reality, but I must have been extremely fearful of failure. Now, when I realize I'm dreaming this dream, I tell myself to stop dreaming. Sometimes, I dream that my children are calling to me (they are all married with children of their own), so I immediately pray for them. We can use the night seasons for prayer.

I have had the exact same three scenarios in my school dreams. For me, I have come to see that those dreams mean I am not understanding something (learning- school) the Lord is trying to teach me (I'm missing it). Just last month I understood this, finally, as I had another "missing the class" dream.
The key for me though was to ask Jesus WHAT I WAS MISSING that He was trying to teach me. And if this is the same interpetation for you, I pray that you would know that you know what He is trying to teach you and you aren't getting.
For me, and I think it will be different for you, it was that, in my day to day life, I wasn't listening to my own heart (the Holy Spirit) and that I needed to trust myself (Him in me). He had been trying to get me to understand this for a long time! There were other confirmations that happened in the natural to support this as well!
Besides the thing of missing what God was trying to teach me...there was another part - the feeling part.
In my dreams, I have this FEELING of condemnation "how could I do this - such regret and feelings of how will I ever get caught up". Your feelings are that you will bring shame to your family. I am asking Jesus about my feelings of condemnation and never being able to get caught up. Possibly Jesus wants to show you something about your FEELINGS of shame in your dream (and it may not be related to actual school since you have already graduated).
I'm not sure right now if the two (WHAT WE'RE MISSING and the FEELING PART) are related? I haven't gotten that far>

WHAT DOES THE CAR AND HELMET MEAN? In the dream I went to buy the newpaper, and when I went to pay it the man in the newspaper stand that sold it to me told me that I was buying the last one and for buying the very last one I had won a prize and he handed me some keys and told me the prize was a new car. Then he came where I was and prayed for me and I fell in the spirit to the floor. I got up and with the keys in my hand I went to get the car that was nearby, it was a really pretty sport car, the kind that has a sliding roof and it was green. Inside the car was a gift box and I opened it and it had a small race car helmet the same color of the car (green) but it was not for me to wear it because it was small, and I noticed it was beautifully made and I said to myself in the dream that I would place it in my home in a special place. Then I went to church in the car and when I got there the youth people were going some place and everyone had a suitcase. As I said hi to some of them they all started to put their suitcases in my car and they left no room in it.
Then the pastor´s wife who was there came and told all of them that it was not right to do that and told them to get their suitcases off the car. When they did I noticed that the car helmet gift was missing and I was upset because that gift was special to me. I asked and asked to see if the person who took it was giving it back but I could not find out who had taken it. Then I woke up.

Recently I had a dream about tomatoes: 12/6/2008
One scene: Left side of door on back patio Time awakened: 7:30 a.m. I had a dream about a tomato farm during harvest. I was at this mansion as a guest on this tomato farm and could not sleep so getting up early I go out onto the patio in the back yard of this mansion to rest on the patio bed.
There were a few young workers going through clusters of tomatoes, separating them in divisions at early dawn. One of the girls is talking to two of the young guys and is keeping an eye on me, on the patio bed.
I get up to go look at a cluster of tomatoes to see what they look like and hear the young girl tell the guys: "I wish they would not touch the fruit. We get in trouble if they contaminate it." In hearing I am being talked about, I go back up closer to the back of the mansion patio to rest. I finally decide to go back to my room within the mansion and have trouble with the covers getting up and out of the patio bed. I am tangled in the cover.
The scripture I am given by the spirit to study is: Isaiah 28:20 - "For the bed is too short to stretch out on, and the covering so narrow that one cannot wrap themselves in it."

WHAT DOES MOVING OUT OF OLD HOUSE MEAN?
I have a recurring dream. I am always moving out of an old house that I lived in 25 years ago. Sometimes I move into a new house and love putting things where I want them or sometimes it is too small and crowded. There is always a flooding basement or at least a wet one that I don't want potential buyers to know about.
In several dreams the house was already sold and new owners moved in while I am still absent-mindedly going back in by the side door. Then I find all kinds of "stuff" that I think are treasures, that I have left behind. And always I am moving to Casper where my husband has a new job. But he is not quite ready to move and his present job is keeping him too busy to help with the moving or to actually get in the car or truck and go.
