Jesus said that the devil had nothing in Him. We need to come to the same place where the devil has nothing in us either. When we come into our promises, we want nothing in us that the enemy can grip and pull us away from the truth of God's Word.

 

John 14:30-31 NKJV
... for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.

John 14:30 AMP
I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. {He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.}

We have been given free will to rule over our own lives. Scripture says that if we do not rule over own spirit, then we become like a city that is broken down without walls. If we are being plundered by demonic dreams, our doors are open and our walls are broken.

He who has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down and without walls. {Prov 16:32.}

Demonic doors open when we do not obey scripture. When we finally obey scripture, we are living in alignment with the Lord’s will and heart. One of the main verses the Lord gave to me about suffering demonic dreams was the following:

When a man's ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

When I started reading scripture as a huge book of promises, suddenly things starting making sense to me. We are promised that we reap what we sow and when we make righteous, godly choices according to scripture, we reap good things. And when we don’t, we reap bad things. It makes all of life very simple and when we align ourselves with God’s Word, we clearly see right and wrong. When we finally please the Lord, we close the demonic doors in our lives and we live in peace.

Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

These scriptures are connected with the Greek words for drugs: Revelation 9:21; 18:23; 21:8; 22:15, Galatians 5:20. The words in those scriptures are translated sorcery and witchcraft.

The Greek word for drugs in these scriptures is pharmakeia {#5332 in Strongs} and we get our name of pharmacy from this word. It also has its roots in magic and potions.

One common idol that is commonly accepted within Christian circles are frogs in the home. (Toys, license plates, etc) In the OT they were used as a curse to the Egyptians. In the NT they are predominant spirits in last day events.

HOW TO CLOSE DEMONIC DOORS

1) Do not sin.

 

Rom 6:12-14 NKJV
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

2) Renounce and reject the works of darkness in your life. Verbally cut them off and turn away from them.

But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

Eph 5:8-13 NKJV
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.

3) Confess your sin and ask God¡¦s forgiveness and mercy.

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.

4) Repent and change your ways. Repent means that you are convinced and truly believe differently and thus want to change.

So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return {to God}, that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord.

5) Stay obedient to God’s Word.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

6) Consecrate your eye gates for God’s holy use.

 

Luke 11:34-36 NKJV

But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35 Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. 36 If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.

7) Consecrate your mouth gates for God’s holy use. Consecrate means to dedicate and set it aside to be used for Him.

8) Consecrate your thoughts to the Lord.

9) Fasting and prayer closes doors to demons.

So He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."

Lord I have grievously sinned and disobeyed Your Word. I have not held Your Word in reverence and I know Your Word is true and You have not changed Your mind. You have not changed Your mind, Lord, but I certainly have changed mine. You have convinced me beyond all doubt that my choices have wrecked havoc in my life and I want to obey You and live in peace.

I renounce and cut off the works of darkness in my life, where I have partnered with demons and fed their access into my life. I turn my back on my wrong choices and behavior. I choose to turn my life in alignment with scripture and want to use my will to make right choices to please You. Lord give me strength and help to please You through my choices.

I give you my eyes, mouth, soul life and heart. I desire to live a holy life, set apart for Your use. I want to hear Your voice, see pure visions and dreams, and I want to think good thoughts. I want my life to make a difference for Your kingdom Lord. I want to serve You and follow You the rest of my life in Jesus Name.
