WHAT TO DO WITH DEMONIC RHEMA

If a person perceived that something they saw or heard or a dream, etc was demonic, would you try to sort out its meaning and pray to bind it? Would you try to discern where it was coming from, what door, etc?

Sandy, what do you do? Just bind it and keep on going? I would want to know what its root is, why it is there etc. (Maybe that is not necessary, but rather a distraction. I guess that could open doors to the demonic too...)

So how would one know if a vision is a distraction or really something to dig into? Just over time, by the peace or lack thereof that accompanied it?

These are good questions and from my experience there are 2 different kinds of people/ ministries that interpret and apply visions.  I know one church and pastor that is one of the strongest warring churches I have ever known.  They receive all visions, whether demonic or not and they take everything seriously and pray over all and war against the demonic.  This was actually the flavor and DNA of that church, all the way down through their deliverance dept.

For myself, when I see or hear something demonic I immediately bind it and command it to shut up and leave in Jesus Name.  I don’t listen, ponder a meaning or give it any attention at all.  I was trained as a warrior and learned that life and the Lord radically intervened and turned me into a lover instead.  It doesn’t mean I let down my warrior reflex even a tad, but it means that my focus, my attention and passion is totally and completely in the opposite position.

One of my favorite testimonies is when the devil appeared to Smith Wigglesworth and he opened his eyes and said, "Oh its only you."  Then he turned over in bed and went back to sleep.

I remember one vision the Lord gave me about this.  I was lifted up and I saw a scene that was quite revealing.  It was like a circle of different groups of people.  On the outside, I saw all these witches sending in curses. And I saw a ring of warriors that were facing the witches head on.  These warriors had their backs to an inner circle.  In the inner circle, there were a bunch of people facing IN towards one Person.  Jesus was mingling among them and ministering to them.  I heard the Lord tell me not to mind what was going on outside of the circle. 

I live my life to attain an open porthole/heaven where I will not see or hear the demonic.  It is my daily passion to keep heaven in and hell out.  My husband is in the same place and heart.  We have had this pursuit for years and years and years.  Once you begin to flow in what is available in the Lord, it is agonizing to go back to any kind of compromise where the devil gets in to the porthole. Thus it becomes a life time commitment to live towards the place where we say the devil has nothing in me and we can walk with heaven on earth.  I fight almost every day to get there and stay there and keep the demonic doors closed.
