HE SPEAKS THROUGH REOCCURRING
 THOUGHTS and scriptures

Deut 6:7-9 NLT

Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are away on a journey, when you are lying down and when you are getting up again. Tie them to your hands as a reminder, and wear them on your forehead. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Be sensitive to recognize thoughts that keep coming back to you.  It’s a possibility the Holy Spirit is speaking to you.  Sometimes their reoccurrence is a call to pray over them until they are resolved.  Sometimes they are accompanied by a stronger yearning, and the Lord is wanting you to take an active part in resolving them. 

He will bring scriptures to your mind in the same manner.  If He brings a verse to your memory more than once in a certain time period, then He is really wanting to get His message planted in your life.  In ministry situations, He may bring a reoccurring verse until you release yourself to share it.

DREAMS & VISIONS

Gen 41:32  NKJV

And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

IMMEDIATE DELIVERANCE

One night I continued to see the same vision many times of a round peg and a square hole.  I heard the Lord say, “My purposes for you are unique.  Settled. I have granted your request. I will set you free. Abasement. You’re entitled.” 

When the Lord brings the same vision back several times, He is wanting to emphasize it and according to scripture, it means the thing will shortly come to pass.  In 4 days I was immediately delivered from circumstances of my being like a round peg trying to fit a square hole. 

SOAKING THE LAYERS

Another time I heard the Lord say, “You don’t see the heart of the matter. I am soaking the layers.  The crux of the matter. Wound. Bind it up.  God is soaking you. Melted person.  Fill me. Overflowing cup.  Capacity. Bigger.”

Then I saw a picture vision of a pastor laying hands on a wounded person, saying, “Let the healing begin.”
 

That same night, I had the same dream several times where we were praying over a loved one for his healing.  We were asking the Lord to touch him more.  I had the impression that these were soaking prayers of just asking for His Presence to melt through his layers and increase his capacity to receive, like stretching a wine skin to hold more.

WORD TO PONDER SOAKING PRAYERS
There are those whose wine skins need to be stretched so that their capacity to receive is enlarged.  For these, I want them to be soaked in prayer.  I have many layers yet to touch in their lives, for they are coated with many layers that have held Me at arms length. This is due to childhood pain, and they are not even aware of how deep it goes, or how much it has harnessed their growth. I want to fill them full up and overflowing, but before that happens, they need to be stretched to receive more of Me in smaller increments.

“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. The old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine must be stored in new wineskins. That way both the wine and the wineskins are preserved." (Matt 9:17 NLT)

HE SPEAKS THROUGH REOCCURRING SONGS

Ps 104:33-34  NKJV

I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the LORD.

Have you ever noticed the song you sing in church will sometimes go over and over in your mind?  Listen to the message.  You may be delighted to discover He is speaking His response to your worry or question of the moment.

After a time of personal and difficult death to self will, the Lord brought a melody to mind I hummed for days.  Having forgotten the words, I finally found the song and listened to the words:  “He didn’t bring us this far to leave us.  He didn’t teach us to swim to let us drown.  He didn’t build a home in us to move away.  He didn’t lift us up to let us down.”  (By Joni Erickson Tada)  In His wondrous way, He brought me needed encouragement. 

WORD TO PONDER:  I WILL NEVER, NEVER LEAVE YOU

Always remember, that even though you do not see Me, I AM your Friend.  I will never, never leave you.  I AM wholly yours, longing to abide in constant fellowship with you twenty four hours, - day and night.  I looked down upon My cross all the way through history, and I saw you, My Beloved.  I heard your cries for friendship and I groaned for you and carried your pain.  I took your wounds upon Myself so that you might be healed.  I died so that you might receive pure and lasting friendship, never to feel abandoned again.  Join with Me, My love, and join with those I have ordained for you.  Rejoice!

EMPHASIZED HIS ANOINTING IS HIS GOOD GIFT

One night, I kept hearing the phrase of a song, "Every good and perfect comes from above."

Then I heard the Lord say,  “Honey. It sticks.” And kept seeing my hands being placed in honey. As I took them out, they were dripping with honey. This occurrence continued throughout the night.

 

WORD TO PONDER:  HONEY ANOINTING

I AM smearing your hands with My anointing and they shall be led by My holy unction through the Holy Spirit.  In the days to come, you will understand that your hands will be a sign to you.  I AM in and with your hands, dear one. 

I am calling you forth to expand.  Stretch forth your hands, they are dipped in honey, the honey of My anointing.  You shall find release and a powerful flow.  You shall release My Word.  You shall feel the wind and a stirring of My Spirit.  Follow the anointing and go where it leads you.  I shall always provide. 

I will be pouring forth My anointing like honey upon My people, it shall be sweet to their mouth.  Taste and see that I give good gifts.  I understand your desire to be anointed with My gifts and go forth full steam ahead.  What you do not understand is that your vessel has a small spout and I am a very big spout.  I will prepare you to receive My anointing in stages.  I shall pour into you a slow steady flow, then the speed and intensity shall grow as you become accustomed to it.  So let My liquid amber honey anointing fill you to overflowing, one step at a time.

“And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD.”  (Lev 14:15-16 KJV)

HE BRINGS THINGS INTO REMEMBRANCE

John 14:26-27 NKJV

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

One of my favorite ways to hear the Lord is knowing that He brings all things into remembrance.  I heavily rely on Him to bring things that I have forgotten into the focus and quicken Words and experiences of my past that are pertinent for now. And if I misplace something in the house, I have learned to always ask Him to bring it back to remembrance.

So, I am getting ready for my walk and almost out the door. I had the flash impression to pick up some of my little Bible scripture cards from the bread box and take them with me.  So, I grabbed some to quote along my way.  I could not resist looking at the first one before I got out the door.  I turned to “He that believes on Me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35)

REVELATION!!! I had forgotten to get my water bottle out of the fridge to take with me on my hot walk. He was reminding me!

WORD TO PONDER:  THOUGHT LIFE

The enemy would seek to erode any given environment. Take effort to nurture your thought life with creativity birthed from My Spirit.  Use discipline to turn from thoughts not edifying.  At the same time search Me to view that thought from My perspective.  You’ll be surprised what I can reveal to you if you give Me this time.

I will give you guidance, wisdom, understanding, revelation, peace, freedom, deliverance and anything you need in one flash moment of remembrance of Me.  I AM with you always, but I do not control. You give Me access by recognition of My silent Presence.  It is in the brief moments of every day that our joy will be more complete if you can retrain your thinking to include Me.

This is not something you can do on your own, for it takes two of us to have a relationship. I need your effort and you need My help to establish this practice.

There are seasons and times when I draw close to My people.  I want to draw closer to you and will place in you My yearning to draw closer to Me. If you give heed to My gentle call, we will be given many precious bursts of life together in a new and meaningful way.  I await your responses.

"Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ..." (2 Corinthians 10:5)

OUR HELPER AS A HUMBLE SERVANT

Many times I had heard the phrase, "How may I help you?" At first I wondered if there was something that I wasn’t doing that needed to be done.  I wondered if I needed to pray more.  Then I began to hear the phrase more often and I wondered if I was hearing the angels ask me this question, because angels are sent to serve us as heirs of His kingdom.

Finally, one night I heard the simple phrase again. "How may I help you?"  Immediately He brought into remembrance the following scripture and I suddenly realized it was the Holy Spirit that had been asking me that!   He is our HELPer.

John 14:16-18 NKJV
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever -- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

I was reduced to tears. The powerful Lord God of the universe had humbled Himself so much, as to come in the form of the tiny, still small voice and ask a simple handmaiden a simple question.  I went to bed with a heart full and no answer.  I was overcome and deeply humbled.  With all His power in the world, all I could think of was His humble heart of a Servant asking me this question.
