EXERCISES
PROPHETIC EXERCISE ONE
Learn To Prophesy 3
Descriptions About One Word
The Lord gave me a very simple
lesson on learning to prophesy. I heard Him say to me,
“Find new joy in expression. I kindle your thoughts
and heart. Bring them into alignment with My mind.
What do we have here?”
I then saw a vision of myself
holding something very simple. It was a candle.
Then I heard the Lord say,
“Choose 3 words about a candle. Now prophesy it.”
{So I thought of the 3 words, Light, to See and
Clarity.}
Again I heard: “Alliances.
I will team you with angels. Who will go forth at your
bidding. Charged with My Presence. Sonic boom. My
voice is like thunder.”
PROPHESY WORD TO PONDER:
LEARNING HOW TO PROPHESY
Beloved ones I have heard your
desires to learn how to prophesy. I have taught you how
to fish for My Word. And now I want you to eat this to
the fullest of My intent. Learn how to overcome your
inhibitions and partner with Me to release My Word on
earth. First learn to pray what you see and hear. Make
your supplications with thanksgiving and requests. Now
turn these same thanksgiving and requests into prophetic
proclamation.
I send you many object lessons,
word parables, each strung together like pearls of
wisdom. When you ponder the object lesson, I will
kindle your thoughts in alignment with My mind. Start
with something very simple, like one object. Find 3
words that describe the purpose of that object and you
have the theme of the lesson. Now turn those
descriptions into spiritual language always weaving in
My scripture as I bring it to mind.
Beloved, My Words through your
voice shall go across the land through angels as they
are sent forth through hearing My Word. These Words are
charged with My Presence. Even as thunder breaks forth
in suddenlies in the sky above your head, so My angels
are loosed at the voice of My Word.
Ps 103:20-22 NKJV
Bless the LORD, you His
angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding
the voice of His word. Bless the LORD, all you His
hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure. Bless
the LORD, all His works, in all places of His dominion.
Ps 26:7-8 NKJV
That I may proclaim with the
voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all Your wondrous
works. LORD, I have loved the habitation of Your house,
and the place where Your glory dwells.
Jer 50:2 NKJV
"Declare among the nations,
Proclaim , and set up a standard; Proclaim - do not
conceal it.
Isa 61:1-2 NKJV
To proclaim liberty to the
captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are
bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.
WORD \STUDY: PROCLAIM
OT PROCLAIM
qara' OT:7121 qara' (kaw-raw');
a primitive root {rather identical with OT:7122
through the idea of accosting a person met}; to call
out to (i.e. properly, address by name, but used in
a wide variety of applications)
KJV - bewray {self}, that
are bidden, call (for, forthself,, upon), cry
(unto), (be) famous, guest, invite, mention, (give)
name, preach, (make) proclaim (-ation), pronounce,
publish, read, renowned, say.
NT PROCLAIM
euaggelizo NT:2097
euaggelizo (yoo-ang-ghel-id'-zo); from NT:2095 and
NT:32; to announce good news("evangelize")
especially the gospel
KJV - declare, bring
(declare, show) glad (good) tidings, preach (the
gospel).

PROPHETIC EXERCISE TWO
Learn To Prophesy A Parable
I was listening to John Paul
Jackson's tape about participating in a prophetic
exercise on how to prophesy. He spoke about taking up
an object and thinking about it and seeing if the Lord
would say something through it. That's my kind of
language, I love how Jesus speaks to us through
parables.
I was in bed, so I picked up
the remote control that operates my adjustable bed.
(Adjustable beds raise the head or feet up into
different positions.) I heard the Lord say, “I am in
your hand!” I was so tickled to hear Him say that and I
pondered the functions of my remote control bed clicker
and how that relates to the Lord. Here is the Word”
PROPHESY WORD TO PONDER: I AM
EASY WITHIN YOUR REACH
I will raise you up and I will
carry you down. And I will carry you and gently hold
you in all these places. As you press into Me, I will
give you a green light that says, "Go for it, move!" My
purpose in this season of your life is to make you
comfortable in your rest. Relax and let Me carry you.
Rest and place your body in My hands. As you tremble
with a touch of My power, I can relax you and bring you
into a deeper rest in Me. I have made you the head and
not the tail and I am putting all things at your feet.
I AM easily within reach.
"Then Moses answered and
said, "But suppose they will not believe me or listen to
my voice; suppose they say, 'The LORD has not appeared
to you.'" So the LORD said to him, "What is that in your
hand?" He said, "A rod." (Ex 4:1-2 NKJV)

PROPHETIC EXERCISE
THREE
Proclaim Your Prayers
I heard the Lord say, “They
are making proclamation all across the land.
Inhibited. I will help you. See how to do this, pray
out loud. Now prophesy it, YES.”
That is a wonderful idea of how
to prophesy. Pray a simple short prayer out loud. Then
proclaim the prayer using action words that it will
happen.
PRAYER: “Lord I pray that You
will give my Son a safe journey today in Jesus name.”
PROPHESY: My Son will have a
safe journey today in Jesus Name!
Look how Paul turned his
prayers into an active blessing, prophesy and
proclamation:
Eph 1:21 NKJV
Therefore I also, after I
heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for
all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you,
making mention of you in my prayers : 17 that the God of
our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to
you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge
of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being
enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His
calling, what are the riches of the glory of His
inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding
greatness of His power toward us who believe, according
to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in
Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him
at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above
all principality and power and might and dominion, and
every name that is named, not only in this age but also
in that which is to come.

PROPHETIC EXERCISE
FOUR
Prophesy What You See Or Hear
I saw some beautiful pearls
strung together and they were solid gold. I heard the
Lord say, “Our kind of relationship, the seer
anointing. To prophesy what you see. I will teach you.
Shall we begin now? Lot's of lessons. Plenty out
there.”
Remember that when the Lord
speaks it is always in
part and pieces, not the whole
picture at once. Dont wait for a huge word, or a huge
vision. Rather wait for Him to start the revelation and
see if He wants to add to it. Often times when you are
prophesying, the pieces will come one after the other,
but only after you start.
1 Cor 13:8-10 NKJV
For we know in part and we
prophesy in part.
If you see a picture vision or
hear a sentence from the Lord, first learn how to share
what you see or hear in a way that makes sense to
others. Simply say what you saw or heard. Describe it,
but keep it simple. Always try to connect what you saw
or heard by sharing a scripture. You dont need to quote
the scripture word for word, but share it in a way that
you remember and the Holy Spirit will quicken the right
words for you.
Now after you have learned to
share what you see and hear, then turn it into a
prophesy. A prophesy is the Lord speaking instead of you
talking about what He said. He is announcing what He is
doing. It is that easy.
EXAMPLE: I saw a string of
solid gold pearls. I heard the Lord say He had many
lessons and that He would teach us how to prophesy what
we see.
PROPHESY: I have given you
many golden pearls of prophetic lessons strung
together. I will teach you how to prophesy what you see
and hear. Line upon line and precept upon precept, I
will teach you.
Isa 28:9-10 NKJV
"Whom will he teach
knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the
message? Those just weaned from milk? Those just drawn
from the breasts? For precept must be upon precept,
precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line.
Here a little, there a little."

PROPHETIC EXERCISE
FIVE
Learn To Prophesy Scripture
There is a stereotype regarding
writers and I have to say that I fit the mold. I always
say I would be happy writing in a warm cabin sitting by
the fire. I picture this wonderfully cozy little place
in the woods somewhere, away from all the noise of busy
city life. There is only silence for miles around but I
can hear the gentle rain falling on the leaves and ferns
outside. Somehow in that little day dream, I still have
electricity and the internet!
I share that because there are
basically two kinds of people. Introverts and
extroverts. The first type of person likes to think a
lot. They ponder and mediate, read and reflect. The
second type of person likes to work out all their
problems by talking them through. They talk and take
action.
If you are the mediator kind of
person, you will enjoy reading scripture, but it may be
a stretch for you to do this exercise. Consider that
this exercise releases powerful things to happen in the
Spirit world that releases angels to go forth on His
Word.
EXERCISE:
1. Instead of silently reading
the scripture, read it out loud. Get used to hearing
your voice speaking scripture. When you speak it, your
ears hear it and it penetrates deeper into your memory
and heart. Become fluent in speaking scripture.
2. Go back and turn that same
portion of scripture into a prayer. Ask the Lord and
speak your prayer out loud, using that same scripture.
You are praying in exact accordance with God’s will and
you will receive it.
3. Turn the same scripture
into a prophesy as spoken from the Lord directly to
yourself or others. Angels go forth on these Words.
EXAMPLE PRAYER: Oh Lord,
let....
Ps 19:14NKJV
Let the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your
sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
EXAMPLE PROPHESY: The words
of your mouth and the meditation of your heart are
acceptable in My sight, says Your LORD, your strength
and your Redeemer.
EXAMPLE PROPHESY: I AM
turning the words of your mouth and the meditations of
your heart to be acceptable in My sight. I AM your
Lord, I AM your Strength, I AM your Redeemer.
IT’S OK TO
PARAPHRASE SCRIPTURE BY MEMORY
When Jesus quoted scripture to
the devil, He did not quote it word for word. In the
first of the three temptations, He deleted one word from
the original:
Matt 4:4 NKJV
But He answered and said,
"It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but
by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"
Deut 8:3-4 NKJV
...that He might make you
know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man
lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the
LORD.
In the third of the three
temptations, He paraphrased 2 scriptural themes. No
where in the OT does it say it exactly as Jesus spoke
it. Instead Jesus was taking the scriptural concepts of
worship and serving and He spoke it in one proclamation
against the enemy.
Matt 4:10 NKJV
Then Jesus said to him,
"Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall
worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall
serve.'"
Ex 34:15 NKJV
(for you shall worship no
other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a
jealous God)
Deut 6:13-14 NKJV
You shall fear the LORD your
God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name. You
shall not go after other gods,
Josh 24:14-15 NKJV
"Now therefore, fear the
LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away
the gods which your fathers served on the other side of
the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD!
