QW CLASS ASSIGNMENT:

ASK QUESTIONS OF A PANEL ABOUT MINISTERING HEALING AND DELIVERANCE

Hi Class, I have asked 3 people - Wilson, Andrea and Nancy to form a panel for us, so that we can ask them questions.  Wilson recently had a breakthrough in a meeting.  He has been used by the Lord in supernatural ways and manifestations.  He was even given gems in the past and has photos.  Andrea just got back from the Philippines and the Lord used her in healings.  Nancy has been to the mission field many times and experienced casting out demons, etc. I am watching God TV and hearing more and more that this is the year the Lord is beginning to send John Doe people (as explained in Tommy Hicks vision) with His power.  It is just like the scripture for the year 2010:

Ps 110:3-4 Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.  The LORD has sworn and will not relent, "You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek."

This scripture and year is what I have been looking forward to for years!  One of the interesting things about that scripture is that it is in context to PRAYING.  In the recent IHOP school they took 300-400 students on buses to a university campus.  These kids were scared, but they were PREPARED.  They preached on corners, prayed and prophesied.  It was like having church outside, with a small group of IHOPers on "stage".  They had healings, salvations and even a few university professors got saved!

CLASS ASSIGNMENT:

Picture yourself knowing the bus is going to pick you up in the morning and you are going out to the streets to preach, teach, prophesy, pray, heal and deliver people! Picture yourself feeling green, awkward and feeling like you dont have a clue!  Picture that you and 2 other people will be with you on your little spot in the grass and so you know you cant hide and lean on another, but you are there on a mission from God and need to be prepared.

NOW ask questions of these 3 people as though your life depended upon it!  Think of anything you can, to draw out what you would like to know about their experiences, because you will be doing these things yourself.  Even think of what a young believer might ask, as though they are 12 years old and being sent out.  Let's get the MOST out of their recent testimonies and experiences that we can.

CLASS ENTRIES AND RESPONSES

Question by Sandy Warner

I just finished reading Wilson's testimony again. Wilson: where did you lay hands on the lady that fell? Do you have a special way that you like to lay hands? Has the Lord ever instructed you on it? Anyone on the panel is also welcome to respond to this question.

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro

I believe that when this phenomenon occurs it's because the person is being filled with the Holy Spirit in accordance to Ephesians 5:18 "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit." Please take note: I'm not talking about the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:4), but a filling of the Holy Spirit. "And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together: and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness."(Acts4:31).

I usually lay my hand on the person's forehead "Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost." (Acts 8:17 ). If the person is a male, I sometimes touch their stomach "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." (John 7:38). I'm very careful not to apply any pressure (I'm not trying to push the person down). Sometimes, when I see that the anointing is very strong on a person I'll touch their forehead with one or two fingers or blow on them. "And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost." (John20:22).

I've learned four important things when it comes to this kind of phenomenon:
1. The more faith and expectation there is in the room the more presence of God there is. So you want to build up these two things in people's hearts during the meeting;

2. If you can get the person to relax and just enjoy the presence of God the anointing increases on them. So if your ministering individually with someone, tell them to relax, stop praying (travailing) and just receive;

3. Always go after those you see the Holy Spirit is already touching (our role is to cooperate with Him). I spend very little time with each person (5 to 10 seconds). If the Holy Spirit is upon them that's more than enough time. But take note: I'm not talking about praying for healing or casting out demons (which can take much more time).

4. The anointing increases as more and more people are touched.

Question by Sandy Warner

I just finished re-reading Andrea's testimony. Andrea: I was really impressed how you didnt give up in prayer, but kept going back to pray "more" for the person. Can you tell us what exactlt you meant by that? Did you pray the same thing over again? Or did you just pray for more of the Lord's Presence to heal, kind of like soaking prayer? Or did you wait on the Lord as to how to approach a matter differently and then pray in that direction? Anyone on the panel is also welcome to answer this question.

Reply by Andrea Danko

In every case it seems to be different. The very first miracle I saw was the lady with lupus. When I prayed for her for a long time I just held her in my arms and cried over her. It was a very dramatic experience for me: when I looked at her I thought of you, Sandy, that this was the kind of sickness, symptoms, that you have been dealing with for so long. There was a "holy anger " rising up in me against this disease, a determination that I am not taking a NO for this as an answer. So I began to focus on this person and on what the Holy Spirit was showing me about her. I felt lots of pain , bitterness and hopelessness in her, so we used the picture and reality of her hands and put all the pain, hopelessness, unforgiveness, the people that had hurt her etc in her hands and we lifted them up to God, giving them over, releasing them to Him. She gradually lifted her arms up and then violently shook her hands. She discovered that she had full use of her arms and hands at that moment with NO PAIN! She began to move her arms in circles around and could hardly believe that there was no pain. Then we prayed for every part of her body: fingers, ankles etc. and had the same experience with them. Every time I took authority there was some change and we kept going until all the pain was gone from every part!

Sometimes the healing manifests over several days. Here is my "my latest testimony." I met a lady at a bagel shop this Monday morning. She had great pain in her left knee, used a cane to be able to walk somehow, which she did with a lot of struggle. After the first prayers on the first day (we kept talking. eating in between) she had a little bit of improvement. Tuesday she told me that she slept through the night which was very unusual. The pain used to keep her awake many nights a week. Wednesday, when she was about to leave the bagel shop she forgot to take her cane and had to go back to her table to pick it up. She still had a little uneasiness in her walk though. Today I saw her in the parking lot at the shop. She could not see me, she was looking for her own car. There was no cane with her and her steps were steady and quick, she walked without any sign of discomfort.

So in addition to the "regular prayer" (taking authority over the pain, sickness, commanding it to leave, speaking to her body to align with the Word of God, which says, that she is healed and lots of thanksgiving!!!!) I pray over some other things as the Lord reveals them to me every time. I deal with unforgiveness, generational curse of arthritis and infirmity etc. Sometimes these are very specific Words of knowledge, sometimes His Presence is so strong that The Holy Spirit Himself brings conviction to the person, and she/he confesses certain sins in his/her life or family on his/her own. After each one of these "issues" I take authority over the sickness again , commanding it to leave. But sometimes I just have to take authority again and again, as if the devil, the disease, were kind of "hard of hearing." Other times I just hold the person and let God's love and compassion flood her and I don't need to say a word. I guess it is again mostly listening to the Holy Spirit and following His directions.

In the Philippines I prayed for a young lady with very bad back pain and hepatitis B. She was in one of the meetings but could not take her healing after the mass prayers of repentance, healing etc. It turned out that her parents she was living with were regularly visiting witch doctors. So we had to deal with that first. But suddenly she broke down and just cried... then confessed a sin that the Holy Spirit had just convinced her of: she had not been faithful in paying her tithes! I was so surprised. But we followed the Holy Spirit, she received forgiveness for her sin and then I prayed for her healing again: she was instantly set free of all the pain!!!!

Every time when there is a little change, improvement we spend time just to thank the Lord for that, to celebrate that. But we keep believing for more, for the complete manifestation. Thanksgiving is very important! Being determined not to take NO for an answer is very important too. We must expect the change, the manifestation no matter what!

Andrea, your testimony and teaching of it is so very powerful and helpful. Thank you so much for sharing this. I know you are still recovering from your trip and it is just a great gift that you are bringing back a loving portion for us in the class. When you first wrote me of the lupus lady, I cried knowing that it was totally because of your loving bonded relationship with me and all the intercessions you have done to carry me in my deep dark night of the soul in the 20 month lupus flare. And once again I have cried when I read here that you confessed you thought of me. Thank you so very much. The lupus no longer shows up in my blood work. It is as though it was never there. The doctors say this just doesnt happen because when you fight lupus, it shows that you have developed anitbodies against it, and those dont show up any more. THey were off the charts before! (Now I am still standing against RA in my blood.) Your testimony of praying for the lupus lady and knowing the connection of your "paying your dues in intercession over me" has multiplied your authority over lupus. You cant imagine what this does for my faith, still yet battling over my beloved Wayne, several times a day for many, many years.

I have heard many times that it is the COMPASSION and even tears of compassion that brings the best of all miracles. Mahesh says only love can make a miracle. He said it was when his love was the strongest that he saw the most amazing of miracles. And Sadhu was told by the Lord that when he was given the tears of compassion, that miracles sign and wonders wouldr break out in corporate meetings with massive miracles. He has experienced this every time in his ministry. He says it as if his heart is breaking in a million pieces when he cries with tears of intercession over the crowd. And then the Spirit of the Lord is loosed and massive things happen.

I love your testimony about the lady who forgot her cane. It is such a powerful testimony to not stop praying or be discouraged! I recently heard a testimony on Sid Roth where the guy was healed from wheel chair but had to walk with cane. EVentually he was healed as he went and it was his family that noticed before he did, that he had forgotten his cane. Luke 17:14-16 14 So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went , they were cleansed. 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.

Question by Sandy Warner

I just finished reading Nancy's testimony again. Nancy: When you gave the correction (about needing to forgive) to the lady with the arm problem, how did you correct her? What kind of "tone" was it and how did the lady initially respond? Like for instance, was it a stern rebuke from the Lord, as though somewhat disciplinary? Or was it a tender correction as though a parent really wants the child to get healed and so she has to do the right thing? Was it simple and straight forward without flinching? And as far as the lady's response, I am thinking her first response, like face expression, body language, etc... before she actually responded to you. Anyone from the panel is also welcome to answer this question.

Reply by Nancy "LadyGrace"

To be honest I was shocked with what the Holy Spirit said to me! So I struggled for a moment inside. Remember, I am using an interpreter... in this case it was the Pastor. (My son) So I approached in a teaching manner, asking her some questions. Is there some one in your life that has done you wrong? She is watching me intently, because she is expecting some kind of help. The look on her face was puzzled at first. (Like how does this fit into my need?) But I probed gently. Ben translated a little more forcefully as she hesitated a moment. She answered affirmative. Yes. Then I told her what the Holy Spirit had said to me. I explained to her that we forgive by faith, not feelings. She could and must choose to forgive from her heart, and the feelings would follow. Whenever I am leading someone in a prayer to forgive another, I say " I chose by an act of my will and faith to forgive so and so through the power of the Blood and the Cross of Jesus."There was no way I could have known that, so I think it rang in her heart that God was speaking to her about this, and she was very submissive and contrite.

Thank you for this answer Nancy, it was good. That is how I would have done too, and adding that it is not only faith but obedience to His Word. So I guess we wont know if the extra "force" behind the word came through Benjamin. (smile) And I suppose since she was his sheep that he is accountable for, he should know her and know the kind of tone to use. It seemed to all work together and be very orchestrated by the Holy Spirit. It is so wonderful to be able to draw out of others and learn from their experience! We really do appreciate your extra time sharing with us. Bless you for this Nancy!

Question by Sandy Warner

DEMONS & LAYING ON OF HANDS
I would like to know from the panel if you practice laying on of hands when casting out a demon? Have you ever been told by the Lord to refrain from such during certain times?

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro

Jesus always spoke to the demons. So did Paul. Therefore I speak to the demons and order them to leave in the name of Jesus. In my understanding, laying on of hands is for impartation (transferance). There have been times when I've had to hold the persons wrists, arms or legs to keep them from hurting themselves or others while I ministered deliverance to them.

Reply by Sandy Warner

Very powerful WISDOM! I have had instances that as soon as I touch people the demons manifest and sometimes I just want to pray for them. I have also had times where I have laid hands on people and had to battle people's demons later because I laid hands on them. 1 Tim 5:22 NKJV Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in other people's sins; keep yourself pure. I believe that people's sins and thus attachments with demons can transfer back to the praying person, if they are laying hands in presumption. I always pray for discernment on what to do. Bobby Conner has the gift to break off things passed down from generational blood lines by moving his hand up and down the spine of a person. (But not touching them.)

I have had success delivering people by placing my hand on the spine near the stomache area and moving my hand up the spine at the same time taking authority. They dont like being so close to the anointing and are literally "driven" up and out, which is what I command as I move my hand. However you are totally correct, when in doubt, always do what Jesus did! His Word was in authority and power.

Question by {class member}

Sandy,I asked my "similar" question of Wilson before I read these posts. But I wanted to ask you...Exactly what are you saying when you are taking authority over a demon...when you are moving your hand up the spine? This question also to the panel please

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro on April 23, 2010 at 2:04pm

First of all, I never "call up" a demon. By that I mean I don't tell it to manifest. In my experience (and Jesus's too it seems) the anointing and authority brings them out. Then we deal with them. I then simply command them to leave in the name of Jesus. Sometimes they talk and say that they won't leave, but then I remind them of the blood and the cross. I NEVER ask them questions or start a conversation (Jesus usually told them to shut up). They're liers and you just can't trust them.

They usually leave through coughing, sneezing, burping or vomit (not food but a milky white substance). When there is no demon manifestation but I know the person may have demons (because of their past involvement with witchcraft, new age, catholic idolatry, suffered abuse, rejection, etc.). I teach them to repent, confess, ask the Lord's forgiveness, brake any covenant and tell the demons to leave. I then break any curse and command the demons to obey the person in Jesus' name.

Reply by Sandy Warner

Wilson your teaching is absolutely right. There are many ministries now that command demons to manifest. Many command them to talk. I believe this is NOT love, and something Jesus would never do, because it disgraces the person with shame, to be "used" as a channel or medium. It is very wrong. (I have written about this in my deliverance book.)

I just cant understand why so many deliverance ministries ask demons questions and then build their deliverance strategies on delusions. They are listening to doctrines of demons instead of the Holy Spirit.

1 Tim 4:1 NKJV
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons...That word giving "heed" means to listen to.

Let me first say that I believe Wilson has the scriptural road map for traditional and SAFE deliverances. When in doubt, follow his instruction.

Secondly let me say that Heidi Baker is one of the few apostles I know today that I would call an apostle. And she walks in all the things that Jesus did, including multiplying food. She has many, many miracles mostly by holding people in their arms and loving them into healing! She cries, she loves, she intercedes and I dont know about taking authority. I am sure she does that too. Her walk is the walk of intimacy with the Lord and she is a Mom over her children.

Thirdly in reading Mahesh's testimony, Only Love can Make a Miracle, his greatest healings were of the same... holding lice infested people in his arms of love. It brings me to tears even to think of it. In my experiences with laying on of hands that were negative, and I had backlash, I strongly believe there is a time when we should refrain from such. I have learned hard lessons about laying of hands and when those happen, it causes one's faith to waver. But I also think that in cases where one's anointing has grown that their faith is not even phased at all about touching a demonic person, then they can allow love to win over all other forms of deliverance. And that would include holding someone in your arms of love. I was given a dream once where my love for Jesus and testimony of Jesus' love drove out all the demons in the room. They could not stand Jesus' love. They were very grumpy about this and I watched them go one by one as I continued to prophesy about Jesus and pour out love into the room.

There was one time where I delivered a lady whose face was all snarling and eyes darting, and her arms and hands curled up near her face. I was sitting right in front of her and ready to pray for her in the hot seat. I looked deep into her eyes with Jesus' love, and I reached out and held her curled up hand and brought it to my lips. I held eye contact with her and kissed her manifesting hand. Not once, but many times, over and over again as I watched her change. This was done in the midst of a home group full of people, not alone. I watched as her eyes filled with tears, her arm loosed and her hand uncurled. Love delivered her.

Back to your hand and spine question: It is very simple. I have laid my hand on a person's back (male or female) at the place where the belly button would be, only on the spine. And I have slowly moved my hand up a person's spine. I have watched demons begin to manifest and the person's ability to hold them "in" become more agitated as though almost ready to throw up, violently cough or sneeze. And while I am slow moving my hand up the spine, I command the demon to leave, to come up and OUT in Jesus Name. The demons dont like to be so near my anointed hand. However in my doing this, I would not do it presumptuously in laying on of hands. It is really important to follow the Lord's cue. And Wilson's instructions are safe and accurate.

Reply by Nancy "LadyGrace"

Touch or don't touch- this is the question! Seriously though, my "training" was from the book "Pigs in the Parlour." The Hammond's had a Ministry that dealt fairly exclusively with Healing and Deliverance. I studied their book and practiced it when it was needed in a situation.. Part of the teaching in the book is when dealing with younger children, is to sit them on your lap and very conversationally speak taking authority over the demons and holding the child lovingly while ministering.

I think the concern here is about transference of demons to us, am I correct? !. I cover the arena in which I am ministering with the Blood of Jesus and I beforehand forbid the demons to enter anyone else in that place, telling them they must leave that area. 2. The curse causeless cannot alight. Jesus said, satan comes but he has nothing in Me. So we need to keep ourselves consciously clean, not giving any place to the enemy. 3. Remember the sons of Sceva! Paul I know and Jesus I know, but WHO are you? Know WHO you are in Christ, because the demons recognize your relationship to and with Jesus!

I touch people, because while we are casting out the demon, the person is under great distress and an anointed hand is comforting and soothing to their spirit and soul realm. I was baptizing in Lake Victoria in Uganda and this lady came out to be baptized. Had previously come up front in church for salvation. (I always have them Confess Jesus as Lord and Saviour again out loud before I baptize.) She could not speak. She could not say that. I knew something was afoot! I asked her again and she got a wild look in her eyes and growled and began thrashing. Now mind you I am IN A LAKE with a mucky bottom! I had been holding her wrists because we have them hold their nose and I grab the wrists and the men help lower her. so I had taken her hand for the preliminary confession... the men standing in the water with me grabbed her and we began rebuking... they are shouting Viaos Viaos! Which means OUT! in Luanda. . I immediately pled the Blood over her and us and took authority over that thing. It was rather wild for a few moments! But in just a few moments she was free she confessed Jesus as Lord and got baptized.

Coming out of that situation we met a witch doctor on the shore a few hundred yards from where we were baptizing. My son said, "Mommy we need to talk to him." I really took stock but then went over to him. I began to witness to him... God gave me a vision of somethings in his past which I shared with him... He jumped up like I had touched him with a hot poker and began a loud argument in Luganda with my son! Without even thinking, compassion and love compelled me to step between them and to take his face in my hands! I held his face inches from mine and said, "we did not come to fight with you, but to tell you Jesus loves you." He answered me in perfect English! We are not fighting! He had understood all of my words all along, only pretended to need an interpreter!... about that time one of his mentees came to me with two gourds and began to shake them as loud and hard as he could one on each side of my head. I knew what he was trying to do (put a curse on me) There was such a Holy ANGER rose up inside of me! I grabbed both wrists and I pinned his hands at his side ( mind you this is a very strong young man late teens early 20's!) HE COULD NOT MOVE! I looked into his eyes -they spit fire at me. I bound and silenced the demons and forbade them to operate. I did not cast them out, because I was mindful he had invited them in, and if I sent them out and he did not get saved, they would come back worse than before. So I just bound them. He was literally bound and gagged at that point! When I let him go he left me immediately and went to Benjamin and said "come sit in the fire with me and we will see whose God is stronger!" (Notice he did not speak to me at all after that!) Benjamin said, come on Mama our God will not be mocked. And he turned and left. Meanwhile my armour bearer had been busily witnessing and at least 1 women in the group had gotten saved!

When I got to the van, the (ex) witch dr. ( I speak this over him that he is delivered and set free) came tome and put out hsi hand I took it and he shook it and said I will see you in the 3rd heaven. I ws astounded and he laughed and pulled his hand away. He walked away and I went to war! I began to plead the Blood over the ground purifying that place and setting it apart unto God. I bound up every evil spirit and pleaded for his life to be saved. My entourage prayed with me. 3 months later ( I am now home in America) Ben takes another group to be baptized. He asked folks around there, where is that witch dr. who was practicing over there? They said Pastor, don't you know?!! After you prayed over there his powers stopped working here and he had to move somewhere else! Hallelujah! I speak his "powers" stopped working permanently and I WILL see him in Heaven, just as he prophesied out of his own mouth! Glory to God!

What a WILD and WONDERFUL testimony you have Nancy! I love it. I am reminded of what Bob Jones says when he does corporate deliverance. He says, You better get saved or cover yourself with Jesus blood, because those demons are going to want to find a home. And then he prays. Yes we were talking about "impartation" of demons. It does happen. One of the deliverers I know, he stops everything if he sees someone else laying hands on a person when he is delivering them. He tells them to let go unless they want the demon to go into them. I have seen the same thing with catching. Sometimes a person does not get the impartation of the anointing, but the catcher does!

Question by Sandy Warner

PRAYING FOR HEALING
I would love to know from the panel "how" you pray, when you pray for healing? Are you binding and loosing? Are you interceding for the person, as though pleading for mercy? Are you interceding for the person by expressing to the Lord what the person is going through in their feelings and life? Are you speaking to the mt, as in speaking directly to a body part and commanding it to be healed? Are you just asking the Holy Spirit to do His work, and soaking them with His Presence? etc, etc. All 3 we would love to know your "style" if you have one. And we ofcourse know every case probably depends on what you hear from the Holy Spirit. But you still have a unique style to your prayers and we would like to know what exactly you "say" and "do" when you say you "pray."

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro

My teachers were the Happy Hunters. Therefore, depending on the disease:

1. If there is a spirit of infirmity, I will tell the demon to leave and then command the sick part of the body to be made whole.

2. If there isn't a spirit of infirmity, I will command the sick part of the body to be made whole.

3. If the healing does not happen right away, I will ask if there is a bitterness issue that has to be delt with (forgiveness).

4. If the healing still does not happen, I cancel any curse.

5. Depending on the sickness I will ask the person to do something he or she couldn't do before.

6. I always command in the name of Jesus.

7. I always give thanks and praise to Lord. I've learned that anointing and faith work together in this kind of phenomenon. Therefore, if you can build up the level of faith in the person or in the room miracles increase. One way to do that is starting with those who have short limbs (or seem to have short limbs because of back problems).

Reply by Sandy Warner

This is an outstanding, precise teaching Wilson, thank you! That was my start too with the Happy Hunters in the 70's. They planted a beautiful seed and harvest into the earth and I am so grateful. So are you saying that you basically take authority over the spirit of infirmity if it is a spirit behind the problem? Do you ever take authority over other names, like binding the name of the disease?

And are you calling all diseases are from spirit of infirmity? And are you calling all injuries just body parts that you speak to? PS - are you getting healings for people in your meetings? Are they corporate moves of the Holy Spirit, or are they individual laying on of hands? Or are they both?

Reply by Nancy "LadyGrace"

Hmm, my "style!" I touch, I THANK God. "Father I thank you that according to Your Word, that by the stripes of Jesus she IS healed... Father I thank you that you sent Your Word and healed ALL their diseases... " I may remind God of the Covenant they have with Him as His child. Pray Word a LOT! Then I pray in the spirit and call out what God gives to me. I almost always start with the Word as our foundation. It speaks to their spirit man, and builds faith, and it releases Authority into the atmosphere if there are any evil spirits, I am speaking the "manifold wisdom of God"

Amplified:
Eph 3:10 [The purpose is] that through the church the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere. Eph 3:11 This is in accordance with the terms of the eternal and timeless purpose which He has realized and carried into effect in [the person of] Christ Jesus our Lord, Eph 3:12 In Whom, because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access (an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear).

It is ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS God's Will to heal. Jesus bought and paid for it and so I am not afraid to ask. Does everyone get healed? No! Do I know why? No! I believe a lot of times it has to do with roots deep in their thoughts. Maybe deep down they think they don't "deserve it" or can't "see" themselves receiving it. Sometimes, our faith can carry them and get it for them, but then they must be taught how to keep it, or the doubt will give way to them being afflicted again.

I have prayed malaria off of people, really bad headaches, back troubles, grew out uneven legs ( The Happy Hunters- I also took their healing course!) I have yet to see a re-creative miracle like an eye where there is none, or gold fillings, or raise the dead, but I expect to! (My son Ben in Uganda has raised 8 people from the dead.) I hope that everyone else is encouraged as I am reading all this wealth in this combined experience. I realize that it took you, Wilson and Andrea YEARS to grow this far and I value very much what the Lord has taught you.

I hope that there will be more questions from anyone at this website, so that we can draw more seeds out of you! We are riveted :)

Reply by Nancy "LadyGrace"

Oh and yes I do speak to the Body and command it to line up with the Word! I do rebuke sickness... as in the case of the lady I prayed for last weekend... I laid hands and a demon manifested and so I rebuked the spirit of infirmity because that is what I was led to do and commanded it to leave her. I did pray for healing. I have commanded healing into the body sometimes. I speak strength to the body, and life. In life threatening situations I love to quote Psa 118:17 (You) shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. Also Psa 68:20 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death. I did a word study on this once because God led me to this scripture. It literally means God draws the boundaries from death, He provides the escape. He says "this far and no farther!"

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro

If it is a spirit of infirmity I take authority over it and tell it to leave. But I do not treat the infirmities themselves and personified. Therefore, no. I do not bind the name of a disease unless there is a demon behind it.

Could you rephrase the next two questions? About your PS. Yes. we are getting healings in our meetings. In fact, many of them are happening during the worship time. The presence of God fills the room and people start getting healed without anyone ministering to them. Deliverance has happened this way too.

Question by Sandy Warner

You said: 1. If there is a spirit of infirmity, I will tell the demon to leave and then command the sick part of the body to be made whole.

2. If there isn't a spirit of infirmity, I will command the sick part of the body to be made whole. So I was asking if all demonic needs for healings are caused from the spirit of infirmity? And if all body injuries are not demonic, do you just speak to the part of the body that needs healed? That is interesting that you do not speak to the diseases. This would make things much more simple, to just drive out the spirit of infirmity, if it worked. Do you get good results with going it that simple? I cant remember what the Hunters taught in relation to diseases.

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro

I don't believe all sickness involves demons. Neither did Jesus. He made a clear distinction between the two: "And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; and they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed." (Luke 6:17,18)

But their are spirits (demons) that afflict diseases and Jesus mentions these too. "And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself." (Luke 13:11) Therefore, if it is only a sickness, lets say a problem involving the heart. I will speak a new heart into the body and command other body parts that have been affected by the heart disease to be healed in the name of Jesus.

Another example of a disease not associated with demons: "gallstones". In this case I lay my hand over the area of the gall bladder (if it is a woman I ask another sister to put her hand there and I place mine upon hers) and command the stones to dissolve. Then I command the gall bladder to be healed and function normally. But if it is a sickness associated to spirits of infirmity, lets say "scoliosis", I cast out the spirit of scoliosis and command the bones in the back, the ribs, and supportive structures of the body to come into alignment.

Therefore I will never say: "heart disease" or "gallstones" leave this body! But I will say "spirit of scoliosis" leave this body! (That's what I understand by speaking to something). We have had some fantastic healings and miracles this way. Once again, my mentors were Charles and Frances Hunter and I follow their teachings.

Question by {Class Member}

Hello Wilson, Andrea and Nancy: This is the question: I have a number of books on "the anointing". I have read a few biographies of men and women who were powerfully anointed. I have tried to learn as much as I can and I continue to ask God to teach me. First question: Why do some people have such power in their ministries and others (who genuinely want to move in power) don't. I'm not talking about spiritual gifts which are given as the Holy Spirit wills but I am referring to the fact that Jesus said something like, "you shall be clothed with power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. You shall be my witnesses." I read that as everybody. BUT I seem to only see (at least here in North America) a small number of people who have genuine power as they witness.

Reply by Nancy "LadyGrace"

Hmmm good question. It is late... so I will leave you with a Holy Ghost that He question once put to a friend of mine... Are we seeking the "Love of His power", or the "Power of His Love"? Big difference!

Questions by {Class Member}

HI Nancy,
My question comes out of my desire to be effective and to see the Body effective. I am very aware that I won't be fruitful on my own or can't make people receive God's love or make anything good happen. So when I read about people, in this case Christians but even stories of unbelievers being overcome with God's love and presence...I long to see that effectiveness more and more all the time in more and more people's lives - and my own. I'll ask Jesus whether I am talking about the Love of His Power ot the Power of His Love. Thanks for the question. I read that verse like a child and hear Jesus say that we shall receive power to be His witnesses I translate as automatic. Here it is! I don't think this is something I can have a simple answer to. I think what I am expressing in a round about way is my own deep desire to 1) be more effective in passing on God's love

2) wanting to see others be touched by God in life changing ways.

Reply by Nancy "LadyGrace"

It was general question that seems sometimes WE as the Body get caught up in the "rush" of seeing this "power" in big ways, and I wonder if God isn't look at all the so called little things as really being the big things? Is some of it just emotionalism on people's parts? I would rather if there is no spectacular display, but the person's heart and life is changed forever! Maria Woodworth Etter had unusual and spectacular manifestations. I too long to "see" more of the Spirit evident. But maybe it is an in working in me before it can be an outworking!

King David said "thy gentleness oh Lord has made me great." I personally believe Love is the most powerful force in the whole universe... by it God creates, by it He saves, by it He provides... it is out of HIS HEART OF LOVE. And that is where I want to operate from. To be so stripped of self awareness, spiritual pride, inferiority... for example... Wilson had 150 people in his meetings... and my last mission (not the conference I just did, but oversees- we had small numbers show up, but the Presence of God was tremendous, and a new church was birthed out of that week long conference. So if I compare... then Paul says I am unwise! See what I mean?

I think it is something that we need to hunger for more of Him and His Presence showing up, and that is driven by our desire and expectation as His people... but at the same time not to get trapped in the "what's wrong with me?" if we are not seeing what we consider spectacular. Suppose God's spectacular for me is totally different than His spectacular for someone else? Leslie, keep seeking, keep making room for the Glory... keep purposing to share Him and reaching for more of Him in you... the outflow will be spectacular... but can you still be happy even if you do not know how much so, this side of Heaven? Does this help? Hugs!

Question by Sandy Warner

Hi Nancy
It is interesting to me that you are noting small numbers where the Holy Spirit is showing up. That is something that Wayne and I have noted so many times. We have been watching God TV instead of regular TV and most of them conferences. We also buy a lot of DVDs of meetings. We have noted more often than not, that these "great big prophets" that we honor so much in the anointing, are speaking to very small rooms of people!

Here is what the Lord showed me: The prophets are sent to be a witness of His Word and declare it, and thus plant on earth what was spoken in heaven. They dont need 2,000+ people to hear that Word. They just actually need 2-3 people to be a witness of hearing the Word and agreeing with it. 2 Cor 13:1-2 This will be the third time I am coming to you. "By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established."

Reply by Nancy "LadyGrace"

Sandy, what you said about the prophets reminded me of another element to be considered in all this... The spiritual gifts of the minister! % fold each has a function and a certain set of Job skills if you will to go with it. Evangelists like Rheinhardt Bonke, Kathryn Kuhlman, Aimee Semple Mcphereson, Benny Hinn often draw huge crowds, and have many miracles. It is part of the calling and the miracles are meant to draw the unsaved and unbeliever!

A Pastor must have stick-to-itiveness. and an undying love for his flock. He is a covering for them. A teacher has a love for the Word, and loves to study it and expound it. A Prophet unless he/she is called to speak to nations, gives a message of encouragement, correction, confirmation and foretells of future things to warn, correct or inform so people can pray to advert it. A prophet is usually sent to a certain people, with a particular message. EVERY Prophet must know their audience, the message they are to give, and the timing of releasing it.

An Apostle, walks in all these things as they are needed. Paul identified himself- An Apostle to the Gentiles. He knew his audience, he knew his message. He like all of his, had to discern the timing of when and where to go! He had miracles. (But not constantly!) He taught much. He discipled and mentored. He was a father to those he was sent to. Did he speak to masses? Occasionally. But he dealt more with relationships and foundations. That is not to say that everyone can not or should not operate in all the gifts of the spirit or should not look for miracles. We absolutely should. But I think that we should not be disappointed with seemingly little things that maybe we don't classify as a "miracle.," but should! Ok- I hear Sandy asking for an example.

I have a friend whose sister got saved after many years of witnessing. But she wanted NOTHING to do with the Holy Spirit! My friend (who lived in another state from the sister)went to her pastor who said, it is an evil spirit blocking her, and she (the pastor)took authority over it and in a very short time the sister was gloriously Spirit filled and became an outstanding teacher in the Word and had the Gift of Faith operating in and through her prayers.

Another example- a girlfriend and I were working the 1990 Census and out in the field in opposite directions. I had finished my book and went back got another which took me in a different direction. Low and behold my friend and I crossed paths and she flagged me down. She was sobbing! She had been ferociously attacked by a dog and the owner just stood and watched. After the dog charged and attempted the first bite, (which did not break the skin!) she cried out the Name of JESUS and the dog though it lunged again and again could not touch her- it was as if it was on a restraining leash! She was so shook ,she prayed and asked God to send me her way- and He did! THOSE kind of miracles

Question

Hi Nancy
I enjoyed the way you describe the definitions of the 5fold ministry. And those little miracles are great. I have heard of the Lord stopping violent attacks before. One was Heidi Baker's testimonies. Another was an abused lady I know who called on the Name of the Lord and the fist kept coming within a few inches of her face but could never connect. FYI: Sometimes it is hard to track what conversation goes to what, when they are on different pages. I tracked down where I talked about the prophets and it was in relation to your comment about small rooms or something like that.

Reply by Nancy "LadyGrace"

And ye shall receive Power- dunamis- Dynamite power, explosive, miracle working... You shall receive strength, power and ability, you shall receive inherit power residing IN you. A lam has no power residing inside of itself. But the outlet receptacle has power in it all the time. When the lamp is hooked into it, then the lamp has power flowing through it.When the Holy Spirit comes "comes upon us" He comes to take up overflowing residence in us. He 1st brings salvation to our hearts, but with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, He brings transforming power flowing in and through us.

So it also means YOU shall receive a miracle yourself- to be the witness He has called you to be. FYI- The word Witness there in Acts 1:8 means Martyr. And ye shall be my martyrs... I ponder this often... Lord am I really sold out to You? Ready to die for the cause of Christ? Do I love you more than my own life?

We in North America and in most of the Nations represented here on QW really don't face true martyrdom like they do in Pakistan, China, Turkey, India, parts of Nigeria, North Korea, Vietnam...I could go on and on. Where is the power? Where is our passion? Where is the prayer life? Mine is inconsistent. Point blank confession. Red hot sometimes, and other times... just so-so. But He keeps wooing me deeper. I WANT to be so wrapped up and immersed in Him that I cease to be seen. That I flow in the supernatural, naturally, effortlessly like a hand in a glove, a fish in water, a bird in the air. I KNOW how far I yet fall from the mark, but this one thing I do:

Philippians 3:9 (AMP) I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ (the Anointed One),

Phi 3:9 And that I may [actually] be found and known as in Him, not having any [self-achieved] righteousness that can be called my own, based on my obedience to the Law's demands (ritualistic uprightness and supposed right standing with God thus acquired), but possessing that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ (the Anointed One), the [truly] right standing with God, which comes from God by [saving] faith. Phi 3:10 [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death,

I can't tell you why. Except that God honors His Word. Signs and miracles and power following the Word, is confirmation and affirmation of HIS APPROVAL of HIS WORD, not the minister. God used a donkey to speak to Balaam. Apostle/Prophetess Bobbie Jean Merck says, " Let me be the donkey who carries Jesus." I am very cognizant that heads turn when I walk into a room- and it is not because I have some glamourous movie star look! It is because of the Presence and Light of Christ in me. It used to really throw me in my early walk with Him. I didn't understand and it unnerved me at first. Then I had a street preacher say, "It's the light in you Nancy! They are drawn to the light, they can't physically see it, but their spirit is coming into contact with the Living Spirit of God inside of you." It literally causes people to look up from their food, turn their heads from their conversations and STARE! Now (if I am tuned in) I breath a prayer for them when it happens. Back then it just freaked me out! Does this help you?

===============

Question  {Class Member}
When you are tuned in :), what are you prompted to pray for those who are looking at His light in you. Is it specific or general prayer?

Reply by Nancy "LadyGrace"

If I am not led to go over to them, (sometimes I do) and even if I do go over I pray:"I plead the Blood of Jesus over them, bind the powers of darkness and mind binding spirits and every lying vanity. I ask you Lord to send laborers that are meet for them, Spirit filled, walking in the wisdom and full counsel of God. I call them out of the kingdom of darkness and into the Kingdom of Your Dear Son, Lord. Thank you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen." This is what I pray routinely if you will over people, except this prayer is ANYTHING but routine in my heart and mind. I change it as I am led for each person, but that is the foundational prayer I pray in dealing with unsaved folks that may have been resistant, or I just can't reach for whatever reasons...

I truly believe that it has more to do with faith than anything else. We just have to learn to believe. "Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you. If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." (Mt.17:19,20) If you can only believe that Jesus meant exactly what He said. Then nothing is impossible. Go out and have fun! Don't think to much about it. Just go out there and do the stuff. Risk it (smile).

Question by Class Member

Wilson, have you ever felt that you should NOT lay hands on someone? If so what did you do?

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro on Well, let me try to answer this way:

If the person asks for prayer I lay hands on them.
If the person is sick I lay hands on them.
If the person needs emotional healing I lay hands on them.
If the person is demonized I DON'T lay hands on them.
If it is a woman I lay hands on her head or shoulder and always have another sister present.

Like I said before, I believe that laying on of hands is for impartation (transferance). That's why the priests (and the people) laid their hands on the animal that was to be sacrificed: to transfer their sin. When we pray for someone we lay hands on them to transfer the anointing of the Holy Spirit that lives in us. It has happened that I am praying for someone with laying on of hands and the person begins to manifest a demon. I then gently (sometimes not so gently) take my hands of and begin to minister deliverance.

Question by Class Member

Andrea, can you explain "only if what I preach is REALITY in my own life. Whether it is His glory and holiness, or submission and obedience or anything else..." Are you saying, that anything you teach must be active in your own ministry even if its in the Bible?

Reply by Andrea Danko

This is a great question that made me ponder for a while. Maybe I need to make my own words a little bit more precise. Anything that is in the Bible can be taught, can be preached about. The Holy Spirit can take the Word of God regardless who the person is that is teaching/preaching it and confirm it with His power, reveal its deep truths in the hearts of those listening. 15 Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will; 16 the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; 17 the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment. 18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice, yes, and I will rejoice.

The same time I do feel we can not really give what we don't have. If I share from my own life, from my own encounters, experiences with God I share the testimony of Jesus, what He has done in and for me and that always releases the Spirit of prophesy, it calls forth the same encounter, experience, spiritual reality in the life of the listeners. NAS Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, "Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Andrea's scripture reference was Phil 1:17. Good scripture BTW!

Question by Class Member

Nancy, You often feel heat on your hands. I assume this is inside palm. When this happens, do you just know someone needs healing, or does this come when you are ministering in that way? Does the heat emit from other parts of you, such as your feet, or even the back of your hand?

Reply by Nancy "LadyGrace"

Sometimes the burning/tingling in my palms gets so hot in my hands that I literally have to shake them. Often, just talking about the anointing stirs it up and makes them burn ( like right now!) Heat in other parts... sometimes I feel like I am burning up... and it is not that I am having "my own personal summer" ladies. Often the person I am praying for feels an intense heat in their body. Sometimes just in the area needing healing, sometimes all over. Sometimes the burning will start when I am praying for someone. Sometimes the burning comes and I know that there is someone in the room needing healing- although I don't often flow in Words of Knowledge (some one has a gallbladder problem- etc) I just know and so I have to ask. Your question makes me stop and think I need to press in and ask God to start giving me more details and direction!

Since my hand has been tingling for sometime now.. I am just going to release that healing anointing right now over the computer screen and even as this is being read, mmm I speak healing into situations, healing into finances, and I speak healing into bodies. I speak healing into the womb to carry children. No more barrenness, no more miscarriages. I release blood flow... no more restrictions in circulation.. And every hereditary thing that has tried to attach itself I command that chain broken! DNA wiped clean of those precursors. Flare ups go! symptoms cease! Cancer in the blood stem and also Hodgkin's I speak to you now. GO! In Jesus Name. Father thank you for your Healing being released. For lives and bodies and marriages being restored. Father thank you for showing Yourself strong to these hearts that are seeking after You. Bless them and surprise them with gifts form Heaven from Your heart to theirs. In Jesus Name. Amen

Question by Sandy Warner

Andrea, in your testimony you said:
"As I laid hands on them for impartation (they were all prostrate on the floor as I walked among them) a new wave of His power came and demons began to manifest screaming and kicking. Since there were so many manifesting the only thing I could do was just let the Holy Spirit work freely. I prayed and sang in tongues in the front and He took care of everything. Slowly they were all set free and joined me in worship. I am learning so much..."

I was SO blessed to hear this. There was one time at the end of a meeting a lady started manifesting demons and there was a crowd surrounding her trying to cast it out. The Holy Spirit told me to go up front and sing in tongues. So I went up front and got the mike and started singing in tongues. She was immediately set free and SO happy. This took place a second time with another lady who had been involved in witchcraft and I did the same thing (without hearing the Lord tell me) and she too was set free. It was a powerful witness to me of His anointing through worship, song and tongues!

Question by Class member To the Panel
In a Church setting during praise and worship I began feeling nauseated and thirsty at the same time. I hear the Spirit of the Lord say “Diabetes is a Spirit” a second after I heard the preacher started rebuking the spirit of diabetes, cancer and others. He did not lay hands on anyone, and there was no proof of any type of healing manifested. Can Christians filled with the Holy Ghost have a spirit manifested such as sicknesses?

Reply by Nancy "LadyGrace"
I am still logged in, so will answer now... Can a house get mice or cockroaches in it? Yes. Your body is a house for your spirit man. spirits can come into the house and take up residence as a sickness. They cannot come into your spirit man though. Act 10:38 (AMP) How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him. (KJV ...healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. )

Luk 13:11 And there was a woman there who for eighteen years had had an infirmity caused by a spirit (a demon of sickness). She was bent completely forward and utterly unable to straighten herself up or to look upward. Luk 13:12 And when Jesus saw her, He called [her to Him] and said to her, Woman, you are released from your infirmity! Luk 13:13 Then He laid [His] hands on her, and instantly she was made straight, and she recognized and thanked and praised God. Luk 13:14 But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, There are six days on which work ought to be done; so come on those days and be cured, and not on the Sabbath day. [Exodus 20:9-10] Luk 13:15 But the Lord replied to him, saying, You playactors (hypocrites)! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead it out to water it? Luk 13:16 And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?

Sometimes it comes through an open door generationally (generational curses, hereditary stuff.) Sometimes it comes because someone has opened a door through involvement in occultic things; astrology, yoga, tarot cards, seances, voodoo, dungeons and dragons, magik 8 ball, ouija board. Sometimes it will come because you are invading satan's territory and so he is sending it through witchcraft.

I was on a Native American Indian reservation in N. Dakota, USA ministering. God was moving mightily. Me and the other minster I was with, were in our room between services and suddenly she became very ill, to the point she could barely move! Then something hit me! I felt waves of nausea and weakness. I headed for the bathroom when it dawned on me we were dealing with the medicine doctors! I began to pray! Mind you, I have been taught to pray (according to Psalms 7:15-16- he that diggeth a pit for the righteous will fall into it himself.) But as I began to pray and take authority over the assignment set against us, Holy Spirit directed me to send LOVE to our attackers. I began to pray for them and send love to them I asked for God to overwhelm them with His love. I was crying for them at this point.And just like that, all symptoms vanished and we were both strong and fine.

That night the leader of the church asked us if we had had any visitations, and I said, oh yeah we did earlier today... Looking back, I think that it must have gotten back to them that there was an attack planned. They were rather amazed that we had not called to them for help. I simply told them what Holy Spirit had said and that we had done that and it was broken.

Now, as another facet to your story, I would like to point out- you began to feel this during praise and worship, when your spirit man is reaching for God and highly tuned in. It could have been that God was allowing you to feel what someone else was experiencing so that you could intercede for them. I have a few times felt someone else's pain ( both emotional and physical instances of this.) (I have also felt God's pain- just a tiny fraction of it and also His joy and love towards others) This happens a lot if you are an intercessor- just ask Sandy! Does this clarify things for you? Andrea, Wilson, Sandy please add on!

Reply by Sandy Warner

Part of the gift of discernment, that comes especially for intercessors is the opening of the senses to the spirit world. This can be the senses to both good spirits and bad ones. And that of men, angels, demons and Holy Spirit.

Sometimes a person who has a demon will suddenly manifest nausea. Sometimes a person who is being attacked with a demonic curse can suffer that. Sometimes an intercessor can walk into close proximity to a demon and feel nausea.. The way you know it is not you, is if it goes away after rebuking. I have had experiences as an intercessor where I will suddenly battle something in emotions, body, etc and find out it was for the person I am about to see, or just left. As I overcome and throw it off, they get the freedom at the same time. It is all about overcoming the spirit world and WE should not take it personally, unless we are in personal captivity to such. Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the FEELING of our infirmities;

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro
If you're asking if a christian can have a spirit of disease, like diabetes, all you have to do is ask around if any christians have diabetes. If your asking if a christian can feel the symptoms of another persons disease, yes they can. This is called "word of knowledge". If your asking if a person can feel another persons demons. And by this I do not mean the oppression, heaviness or fear that we can feel when demons are active in a place or a person (this is discernment of spirits), but actually begin to manifest a demon or experience the phenomenom of deliverance in another persons place, I would say no. What you described seems to be a spontaneaus deliverance of your own. Which is wonderful! Welcome to the club!

Question by Class Member
I've read about your experiences with demons being manifest and casting out demons in people (I assume) you did not know personally.

My question comes from an experience I had a few weeks ago. A male friend confessed to my husband and I while in a coffee shop that he has a spirit of lust that he's trying to be free of. Now, this friend has no experience with the demonic and very little of the Holy Spirit. He doesn't have any head knowledge and I know is a bit skeptic. We shared with him a testimony of how my husband was set free from a spirit of lust before we dated, so faith could be stirred up.

I had my husband put his hand on the friend and "cast out the demon" in Jesus' Name and ask for a refilling of the Holy Spirit, while I prayed silently for them, specifically that the demon would not go into anyone else, but leave the place. It was clear to me before we prayed that the Lord was calling us to do it that night, even though I had already said "let's wait til we're in a more private place". So after Rick (my husband) prayed and 'sealed the deal', so to speak, our friend said he felt no change, and even the next day he told me, "No, there's nothing different, just as I expected." Now, the telling words here to me seem like he did not EXPECT anything to change, and therefore it didn't! What do you say to this? How do you know if the spirit HAS actually been cast out? One more thing I feel is pertinent to this situation. This friend lives with his parents still, and his father (:-( ) has been wayyy into New Age stuff with crystals and all of that. Does anyone know possible effects of this in casting out a spirit of lust? To summarize, my questions are this:

1. How do you know whether a demon has actually been cast out if there is no physical sign?

2. Is it possible to cast out a demon from someone who doubts that it can be done?

3. Could a parent's involvement with witchcraft and things of that sort prevent the casting out of a demon? Thanks everyone :

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro Wow. Good questions ... This panel could well turn into a seminar ...

1. How do you know if a demon has been cast out? The bondage is broken. In this case, the lust stops (if it really is a spirit of lust and not just plain lust). I know when I'm over a cold when the symptoms are gone.

2. Sure. Because of the authority that is in the name of Jesus. But I don't know if this is always a good idea because if the person does not repent and give his or her life totally to Jesus (christian and none christian alike), that old demon can come back with seven more even worse than him ... Jesus warned about that.

3. It depends on the person who is receiveing deliverance. If he or she repents, confesses, asks forgiveness, rejects all ties, personal or hereditary, with the ocult and tells the demon or demons to go, then NO the parents involvement with witchcraft cannot prevent his or her deliverance. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

Training our minds is sometimes a big part of our own freedom. Phi 4:8 (AMP) For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

Easier said than done! But do-able. Also 2Co 10:4-5 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;)
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Perhaps you husband could find out from him exactly how he is being attacked, but it usually starts with our thoughts and grows from there. Bless you guys!

The key word (to me) here is "trying." Just like people say I'm "trying" to stop smoking, drinking etc. but continue to make provision for it by going where thy will be tempted, buying the stuff... I don't mean to sound hard or critical...but do you (meaning anyone) try to get saved? You can't try to be saved. Either you are or you are not. You ask Jesus into your heart and confess Him as lord and Saviour- or you are just going to church, going thru motions without relationship...right? It takes Faith to be saved...

but with deliverance if someone is so bound, they may have no faith, only desire and that is where we stand int he gap for them. they have to WANT to be free. They have to make a CHOICE, just like you choose Christ and salvation. What Wilson said is very true, they have to repent first for any part they have had in inviting the spirit by things they have said or done. (ex:. Pornography) They have to tell the spirit they do not want it (since he knows it is there- sometimes people don't know certain things are there until God reveals it.) He needs to reject any transference of spirits by his family's involvement in the occult. Example- I have a family background of occult practices... astrology reading and forecasting,and water-witching, and so once I knew and understood these were forbidden in the Bible I freely renounced all ties to that, cut all demonic channels and shut the door and sealed it with the Blood of Jesus. After that, God began to use me more and more and released me into ministry! Yes, his expectation could have limited it, but I think the real underlying thing here is does he really want to be free? Because that will drive him to seek for his deliverance for real.

And I strongly caution you, be very careful to not be alone with him... as this may be a set up. If he comes to you for prayer, make sure you have a strong male present or tell him you will pray with him when your husband is with you. Ok?

These are all excellent questions. I wanted to address question 1 about how to know if a demon is cast out. When someone is not a Christian or is a new born Christian, chances are they will have demons that manifest in some way, if they come in close proximity with the Presence, anointing, and power of the Lord. If they have been into really BAD stuff, they are going to have really dramatic opposition and manifestations to the anointing of the Lord.

However the longer a person IS a Christian (who is living with old demons, sometimes since birth), the more he gains “control” over these demons as he submits to the Lord’s Word in obedience. In so doing, he gains self control, which is the last of the fruit of the Spirit that shows real maturity. It is true that such a Christian, after overcoming can naturally just wake up one morning having the “test” of that old demon gone and he is naturally walking in the authority that it will never return, simply because of his obedience and maturity in the Lord to walk a righteous life. I say all of that to say that when a Christian of such caliber is prayed for, more times than not, that Christian will have very little “manifestation” when going through a deliverance session. Such a thing might come out with a simple sigh.

Here are the specific manifestations of demons, taken from my Ministering Deliverance book:

• EVIDENCE OF DEMONS MANIFESTING WITHIN A PERSON

̃ Loud noises

̃ Hissing and/or nose sounds
̃ Violent outbreaks (if violent, bind and/or cast violence out first as it affects all other demons)

̃ Thrown to the floor
̃ Serpent movements of tongue, eyes, and/or body writhing ̃ Body contortions & shaking
̃ Foul smell or odor - sulfur, burning, toilet, body, animal, garbage, etc.
̃ Nausea

̃ Pain

̃ Animal sounds

̃ Numbness or tingling of hands

̃ Tingling of legs
̃ Rigid fingers - lust, masturbation, suicide, murder, arthritis
̃ Body language including facial expressions

̃ Pantomiming
̃ Body cramps

̃ Laughing (mocking)

̃ Crying (screaming, sobbing)
̃ Talking - voice changes

̃ Drowsiness

̃ Sleep

̃ Mental confusion

̃ Retching as though vomiting

̃ Consistent burping

̃ Eyes rolling back into head

• THE EVIDENCE WHEN THEY COME OUT
Breathe in the Holy Spirit, breathe out the evil spirit. Most often they come out from the mouth - the Greek word for spirit [pneuma (pnyoo’-mah] means a current of air, breath (blast) or a breeze. Other ways of breath are: coughing, choking, gagging, groaning, screaming, roaring, crying, sobbing, belching, burping, sneezing, sighing, yawning, current of air, blast of breath, breeze, wind sound. Can come out through other body parts: Nose, other orifices Hands. If they are manifesting in hands, have the person shake them violently to dislodge. This seems to help.

Bringing up phlegm via coughing, vomiting, drooling, spitting, foaming. This a demonic nest. Many have been delivered with a full stomach right after eating and not thrown up food, only phlegm. It is rare to throw up any food or drink. It is not unusual for phlegm to flow out of a person for an hour or longer. The phlegm is often a grayish or white color. Derek Prince says that usually the strong man manifests first. He controls the other demons. Some of their leaving can be quite dramatic, others barely noticeable. This does not reflect the degree of deliverance. Deliverance is deliverance. The person receiving deliverance can give it a boost by volunteering the mouth and breath by coughing, yawning, taking deep breaths. The person may do several yawns, or take several deep breaths. At some point the pressure that has built up inside of them leaves and they feel peace. Bob Jones Quote: “Take a deep breath now and let it come off your throat. And let that spirit of heaviness off your chest. Just let it go. I loose the angels to pull out the roots of bitterness in my brothers and sisters. Let condemnation flee this place. Feel the wind in this place.” “There it comes, there it comes, now.” I am convinced that Bob feels a pressure inside his spirit and knows when it leaves. I have felt this on occasion. Also in the tape when I heard him speak this, you could tell in Bob’s voice that he was feeling the pressure himself

Question by Class Member

At homegroup once, a girl needed deliverance, so the pastor prayed. I could hear the Lord tell me what some of the spirits were, and I would say them to the pastor, and then he and the homegroup leader told them to go. It was very awesome to be part of that. I did not feel I had the authority to address it alone.

1. Re: On the above ministry situation - could it be that there are other related demons that are there, and just addressing that one did not complete the deliverance, because there were others connected?

2. Some Restoring the Foundations friends prayed with me, and they told some demons to go, and then asked me to tell it to go also. I did this while maintaining eye contact with them. I really was looking for freedom - do you do this - have the person themself command it to go? Sort of a renunciation? I felt it was meaningful to do so. To express falling out of agreement. Also do you look them right in the eyes? (I have read that in pigs in the parlor book).

3. How do you minister to them when you discern a soul hurt is there in conjunction with the demon? This is awesome, to read all these answers, this could be an instructional booklet :)

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro on Good questions.
1. Jesus made it very clear that a person can have more than one demon. I have known people whose deliverance was totally achieved over a period of time. One by one specific demons were made to leave. I guess it depends on how many there are (cast) and the anointing that is upon the one who is ministering. Sometimes there are so many that after awhile everyone is so tired you have to schedule another day to continue. So, I believe the answer would be YES. Sometimes, if not all the demons are addressed, some may stay behind.

2. Yes. I do both. I always have the person look into my eyes (it's intuitive and has to do with authority - you see this in the animal kingdom too). When the person is lucid and in control of his or her faculties I will have the person repent, confess, ask forgiveness (and forgive when necessary) then renounce and command the demon or demons to leave.

3. If there is a spirit of bitterness, trauma, rejection, fear, ect. I will deal with the soul first, before I deal with the demon. Most of theses "soul hurts", as you call them, have to do with forgiveness and giving up the pain to the Lord. I try not to use "christian psychology", but believe in the Holy Spirit to go deep into their souls and heal them.

Question  by Class Member

#1. I was stopped at a light I was the first in line to cross the intersection, thus being the closest to the cross walk. A women began walking across the street in front of me (and the others that were first in there lanes. She was talking to herself as you will see people to whom look like they survive on the street (very dirty and unkempt for years, who you would say are "crazy" because they talk to themselves). She stopped suddenly and turns and looked directly at me and started talking with great intensity. I immediately started praying in Tongues 'very intently'. She just stood there and kept speaking until the light turned and she was forced to move on across the street. As I pondered the incident before the Lord, I felt He shared that she was demon possessed and the demon(s) recognized the Holy Spirit in me and they were trying the put a curse on me.

#2. I went into Costco and there was a man standing about 30 ft. in front of me. He looked to be from the Middle East. He was just standing there as though he was waiting for someone, but he was looking straight at me. He had a large stomach and when he saw me his stomach started to move and jump all around. He seemed to be totally unaware of it. He didn't appear to be in pain. I tried not to stare, but his stomach was large and there was a lot of activity/movement going on. My first thought was that he had some sort of disease, but like I say, he just stood there, like nothing was happening at all. As I was shopping I asked the Lord what was going on and I felt He revealed that the man had demons and the demons recognized the Holy Spirit in me and were very excited or nervous (feeling threatened) or something. It was all very strange to me.

#3. I was part of a prayer group at church that prayed for people after the morning/evening services. A 'notable' man of our congregation came for prayer. We (5-6 of us) gathered around him, laying hands on his back or shoulders. As I was praying in Tongues the word "Out" started to rise from within me and came forth with exceeding Power and Authority. Then it stopped. I knew nothing of what was taking place. Later I was telling a friend of mine and she asked if he sneezed, coughed or anything like that. I thought that was a strange question and said that he had a "little" cough and she said that I had cast out a demon. It scared me to death. I told her I was glad that I didn't know at the time. But them, maybe I should have told the demon to go and come back no more or something. Do you think that was the case? As you can see, I am very naive. But I DO need to learn because the times are growing darker and darker and time is running out. We are in the 11th hour when every minute, every second counts for Eternity. And we need to be about "our Fathers' business".

1. Do you think that the woman was demonic and they recognized the Holy Spirit in me. If not, what do you think was going on.

2. Do you think that the man's stomach was moving because of demon activity and it had something to do with me.

3. Do you think that a demon was cast out from the man that I was praying for in the church setting. I don't go "looking" for these things. They were just "there". I was just interested in some input and understanding about what had happen.

The very fact that these 3 things were very disturbing to you says that there was something going on in the spirit realm, whether you could discern and understand it or not. There are oft times I get what I calla red flag...sometimes I literally see a red flag being raised in front of me. That is a warning to stop and assess things because SOMETHING isn't right. I have had times I was agitated inside, or just felt plain uncomfortable, though I did not know why at the time. Sometimes I found out why, sometimes I didn't but knew there was more than what meets the physical eye.

To be quite honest my girlfriend ( the one the dog attacked) and I had an encounter with someone who was/had been involved in satanism. We did not know it, he was in a Christian ministry and supposedly serving the Lord. He called her house, (I was visiting) and said he needed prayer could he come right over. We gave him a time and he came early. My friend had decided to take a shower beforehand and if he had come when we asked him to, she would have been ready... I answered the door and he had "a look" on his face, scowling like. When he came in and walked past me, his eyes were glittering with anger. He spoke and something in his voice... and then the whole room went ice cold. My body began to shake uncontrollably> He menacingly backed me up against a wall. I called to my friend to hurry up our guest had arrived and was trying to figure out what to do... I had only cast 1 spirit out before this and the girl was non violent... this was way beyond me ( I felt) and I was scared. She came down and when he looked up and saw her, he literally stumbled backwards. She knew nothing of what had transpired. He sat down in a chair and asked for prayer. We all joined hands and began to pray with our eyes shut. he Lord very clearly spoke to me and said, "Open your eyes and watch." I did and there was all kinds of snake movement with his tongue. I nudged my friend and then we honed in together and took authority. It was not until much later he finally told us what he had been involved in and still was not completely cut off from them yet!

In that instance there was a lot of backlash, because apparently the coven set themselves against us. We were sheer novices at that time... (this goes back 18 years) and did not know how to stand against it very well. The more I have gotten closer to Jesus, understood His Word, and the Authority HE gave to me, the less fearful I have grown. When I have confronted demons in Africa, I was BOLD! There was no fear whatsoever! Confronting the witchdoctor- I ask myself, am I willing to die for the cause of Christ and answered yes. So then, fear had to power hold over me and I could minister from the Grace He gave me. Constance, it is a growth process. Scripture says study to shew yourself approved. I agree with Wilson and Sandy, don't study just to know how to deal with demons, study to KNOW HIM. Banks don't teach the tellers to study counterfeit money, but rather to study to know the real true money so when the counterfeit comes along it is real easy to spot! Hope this helps you to be at peace and just to trust HIM!

Sandy Mom is the most qualified to answer this one (I've learned much from her). But I'd like to say that: "If the lights are on, it's harder to be afraid of the dark." I know this may sound like a "clichê", but I really believe it when I say that we should keep our focus on Jesus and His glory. It's much more fun and we sleep better at night. Demonology is a very exciting subject and has it's place (we need to know our enemy). But it's only a "subtitle" in a much bigger and more important subject: The Cross! Listen to what Jesus has to say about demons and deliverance: "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. However rejoice not in this, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven." (Luke 10:19,20)

It's much more fun to talk about the Cross and the Throne. Deliverance is just a small part of something much bigger and wonderful: The manifistation of the love and power of God as revealed through Jesus and the Holy Ghost! That's where our attention and praise should be. By the way, I believe that to be about "our Fathers' business" is to be loving Him at all times (read Revelations 4 and 5). Everything else comes out of that. Be happy and enjoy His presence. Naive is good - we're supposed to be like children (smile).

Question by Class Member

I have a question but to get into the story that goes with it would take so long that I'm just going to do my best to explain it--praying that the Lord would show you if I missed anything or what all could I learn from this experience…

Many years ago, while opening my bible to share a scripture with a young woman who was addicted to heroin & ALWAYS asking for prayer, depending on prayer etc..she seemed receptive, but when she looked at me, I saw--what I realized later--was a demon looking at me..At the moment--whether I wasn't in tune or whatever--that reality of that demon just didn't completely dawn on me until I had left the situation…..The other 2 women that were present were not aware of anything like that going on…. Previously the Lord showed me concerning the ongoing saga of this young woman, that she enjoyed the attention & drama of being caught up in this lifestyle, & wasn't desperate to be set free, even though she gave lip service that she did..I even asked her many months before the above scenario "do you want to be well?" & she said yeah but in my spirit I sensed she was not sincere…I do believe that if the Lord opened my eyes to see the demon then He would also give me the authority to cast it out but there was never another opportunity like that or leading of any kind...

I felt the Lord explained it to me that the devil wants to wear the saints out, so He revealed to me that she had a demon, as He wanted me to walk in that truth, that even though--on the surface--it seemed she wanted to be free, she really didn't & I was not to be moved or sucked into the drama……….It would be like fighting a losing battle because she didn't want to be free..He also told me that I don't have to wonder if she is free because when she is, she will be shouting it from the housetops... I've not seen her for years, but I desire to learn from that experience……Your thoughts? The last I heard of her, she is still in the drug culture.

Yes that scripture is the same one the Lord gave me about many demonized people. Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. That scripture is specifically talking about the antichrist in the 7 year trib. However it also reveals the plan of the enemy and that is exactly why the Lord calls us overcomers. Our only way of making it to the finish line is to wait upon Him for the strength and grace to overcome the obstacles. That one scripture is a major reason why when I have been presented several opportunities to get into deliverance ministry, I chose no. I would rather allow the Holy Spirit to make a demon manifest at the perfect time and then be available to deal with it at that time.

Question  by Class Member

I have another question. So Wilson, Sandy, others - you just sort of address the demon and not so much the soul hurts? Just forgiveness? Have any of you all ever done Cleansing Streams or Restoring the Foundations? Sandy, in ref to above, you just wait till timing is "ripe" to minister to someone who is struggling and in need of deliverance?(I remember hearing a teaching how corn and johnson grass (weed) look so much alike but you don't pull it till you are completely able to discern between the two, otherwise you would destroy the corn. )

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro on Wow! We're really covering a lot of ground. So the subject is inner healing now... Lets go for it (smile)

This is a wonderful and necessary discipline in the life of the church. There are many people hurting out there and Jesus also came to heal the broken hearted. In fact he says in the book of Isaiah:"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to ... bind up the brokenhearted ... to comfort all that mourn; ... to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified." (Isaiah 61:1,3).

For us as christians to become fruitful, we must be spiritually free and emotionally healthy. That's what it means to become "trees of righteousness".There is not enough room here to say all that could be said about inner healing (healing of the soul), but here are some pointers I think are relevant:

1. Every trauma creates a wound;

2. Every wound that is not treated can become infected (emotional stress) and/or infested (demons);

3. We all have natural ways of dealing (managing) these hurts, but until they are delt with (cleaned and healed) we will suffer their effects (sometimes in a subconscious level);

4. Professional counseling helps us understand what is going on, but does not always give us relief;

5. Forgiveness is almost always, if not always, part of the healing process;

6. The same anointing that heals the sick body and sets the captives free is also available to heal the broken hearted. It's not just psychology, it's supernatural! And it's our inheritance in the Lord Jesus.

7. When we are ministering to someone who needs inner healing we should ask them to forgive themselves and anyone else involved in their trauma, bind and expel any possible demonic infestation (spirit of rejection, of fear, etc.) and then ask the Holy Spirit to clean and heal the wound. 8. Many times the oil of gladness will be poured out upon the person (they start laughing uncontrollably). It's one of the ways the Lord heals the pain. This was very common in the Toronto Blessing and has been among us.

Note: These are general rules (as are all the others I have given in prior answers to other questions). I'm aware that the Holy Spirit can give us different directions according to the situation and our capacity to hear his voice.

Any insight on how to battle a veil of darkness which hinders a whole congregation from receiving the fullness of God? They are believers and they are "open" to receiving, but the worship only seems to open up patches of blue on an otherwise cloudy day.

Question by {Class Member}

I am so sorry for coming late into this class. i have been so busy and coming online has not been easy but i thank andrea, nancy and wilson for allowing God use them to be a blessing to us. would it be possible to combine all this into a manual. i like this fact that we can ask questions. i find that too many times in meetings people fall under the anointing. i used to think only those possesed with evil spirits fell but i have come to understand that even men and women of God fall too. so my question is must one fall? i find that when i am overwhelmed by God's presence there is a terrible shaking of my hands especially my right hand. does that mean anything? what do you do when ministering and some people dont fall? how are you open to hear the word of God. how do you recognise God's word when ministering? how can the meeting be charged with the presence of God.

Reply by Wilson Linhares Castro

In EVERY revival recorded in Church History (not Church History books, mind you) there are certain phenomena that are ALWAYS present (in a smaller or larger degree). Historical documents mention: uncontrolable laughter, shouts of joy (descibed as "screaming" or "shouting"), shaking, jumping, dancing, falling to the ground (discribed as "fainting"), rolling on the flour, tongues (described as "strange giberous"), prophecies, healings, miracles, deliverance and thousands being saved. If we had the time and space I would love to give you specific examples (including within the monostich movement within the Catholic Church), but we don't so ...

Here are some familiar reliable names that vouch for these phenomena: John Wesley, George Whitefield, Jonathan Edwards, Finney, Moody, Andrew Murray, Even Roberts, William Seymour, Maria Woodworth-Etter, Smith Wigglesworth, Billy Sunday, Aimee semple McPherson, William Branham, Oral Roberts, A.A. Allen, Jack Coe, T. L. Osborn, Kathryn Kuhlman, Reinhard Bonnke, Benny Hinn, Rodney Howard-Browne, Randy Clark, John Arnott, John Kilpatrick, Steve Hill, and the list goes on.

Must we fall? Of course not. This is nothing more than a physical response to the anointing of the Holy Ghost. We do not all react the same way to a small electrical shock. Some will scream and jump up and down, others will just say: "ouch!" But if the shock is strong enough ... even the biggest of them will fall ...Here's Jeremiah's encounter with the presence of God:"... all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the Lord, and because of the words of his holiness." (Jr.23:9) Here's Ezekiel's experience with the Glory:"As the appearance of the rainbow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake." (Ez.1:28)

And here's Daniel's:"Now as he was speaking with me, I fell with my face toward the ground as though having fainted: but he touched me, and set me upright. (...) And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great fear fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: I became as white as a sheet, and my legs buckled under me. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, I fell with my face toward the ground as though having fainted. And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands." (Dn.8:18; 10:7-10)

So you see. It's not about you or me, but the presence of the living God in our midst. When His presence (which is everywhere) concentrates in one place and time something is going to happen whether we like it or not. And isn't that what we are all after ... MORE of His presence? I believe that what you feel when you are "overwhelmed by God's presence" is the anointing on your physical body. When this happens again, enjoy it and ask for more! More Lord! More! I don't minister to see people fall. It's important you understand this. I minister to see people get touched by God and be changed. It doesn't matter if they fall or not. What does matter is that they get what they are asking for.

How do I hear the word (voice) of God? That's what this class with Sandy Mom is all about. How can the meeting be charged with the presence of God. By bringing together people who are desperate for Him and are willing to praise and worship Him until He comes. If you'll build Him a throne, He'll come.
